Most comfortable instep and ankle supporting boot I have ever worn. After 20 years in Emergency Services I have probably worn every brand and model but this is still my 1st choice. I like that they are free of ferris metal parts and have aggressive tread design making for superior gripping on all surface. Side zipper makes it even easier to take off. Removed the mediocre Converse brand foot pads and replaced them with a pair of Superfeet brand innersoles from the REI store. Now my feet are in heaven! This is the only duty boot to purchases! I am buying at least two more pair while they are available!
Brands I'd also recommend: Stay with this model and brand, you will thank me,

The shoe was received very fast. It was the same shoe that was shown on the site and not something different, that was a plus because I ordered shoes from a site and they sent me the wrong shoe twice. Over all I was very pleased with Zappos and would use them again for sure!

These are a nice boot if you need a work boot with a composite toe. Maybe the most comfortable I've found. Problem is they run wide and short and I wish they were actually taller.
Brands I'd also recommend: Magnum

I like these a lot, they\'re light weight and comfortable. However, I had them for a month, and the zipper broke. It's made of cheap pot metal. The same boot without a zipper would probably be better.

These shoes were sold as work shoes with steel toes but in less than a month the leather wore off the toes. I would not recommend especially for the price!
