Ordered all black shoes for school. The description said leather uppers, but they're canvas. Sadly, they have to be returned because school requires leather shoes.

My daughter wanted these for school and they were received as expected. My daughter has feet on the narrow side so they seem bigger on her feet. I believe if your child has normal width feet they would be perfect. If your child is active or a tomboy, these are not for you.

These shoes aren't meant to be tied. The tongue is connected to the shoe with thick black elastic so the shoe can slip on. Additionally, the tongue is very padded (unlike the basic Chuck Taylor model). I think this gives the shoe a more street or skater look. Great update of a classic! p.s. The shoes are canvas (not suede or leather like the description says).

My kid loved them. I think they run about 1 size too big. I ordered them in sizes Youth 6-4.5 so my kid can try them all on and she ended up having to go with the 4.5. She's usually a Youth 5.5, so they ran large.

My four year old is stoked. These are adorable, seem to be durable, and best of all he can get them on and off by himself! I was skeptical at first, as they seemed pretty narrow and we worked hard to get them on the first couple of times, but now they are easing up. Converse run a full size larger than most other brands. Flat soled shoes like these Chuck Taylors are much better for a child's developing foot (as well as adults) as they do not interfere with the foot's natural rest and movement.

We bought these shoes for our 7 year old son who is taking hip hop dancing. He said they are really comfortable. He loves the look of them and we get a kick out of seeing him in them doing some fancy footwork.

Finally, some Chucks that are comfortable! They still retain the look of the original Chucks, but they have some padding and an actual arch support. I had to buy half a size larger than I do in the old school Chucks, but overall I love them.

These have elastic on the tongue they do not need to be tied and they slip on easily. They are much more substantial than the regular Chuck Taylor shoes. They are great quality!

These are very comfortable and well built. However the back heel is too high for me. I just added an insole, and that fixed my problem. The arch support and stretch tongue is great!
