Love the shoes but be aware, that compared with the more classic shoe-lace style Chuck Taylor, the grommet for the strap to fold through is pretty large and is located right near the natural bend of the toe/midfoot. Thus, in my son, it was not comfortable in that spot immediately and he wanted to return them for the same color shoe with laces instead of the velcro. I pushed on it from the inside and could definitely feel a lot of pressure from the metal grommet through the canvas tongue...wanted to love these due to the speedy velcro, but need to exchange.

These shoes run large, at least a half size in the 10 to 12 children sizes. They are also of mediocre quality. You do get what you pay for.

Perfect shoes for my special needs 7 year old son. He only has 6 fingers and all his digits are short yet these shoes are easy to put on and give him the independence he deserves. He also is hard on shoes and rubs the soles and these have lasted. The Vans Old Skool must have softer heels because he wears through them in 2 months. The size is slightly generous and not too narrow so if you order your child’s shoes size, you don’t end up with a tiny or enormous shoe.

The shoe is great! My son loves them, wears them everyday. I did order a size down because Converse run large. I ordered size 11 instead of the usual 12. They fit perfectly this way. Color is a great neutral which goes with everything and the three straps are awesome. I cannot say enough about Zappos! The best company on the internet. I tell everyone I know how wonderful this company is. Easier than shopping in the store.

Love these shoes! My six-year-old is always in a rush and these go on and off easily. I like that I can wash them and let them dry naturally and they are as good as new. One thing is these shoes run very large. I went down a whole size to get a good fit for my son.

Absolutely perfect for my kindergartner that doesn\'t like to take the time to tie her shoes. Easy on easy off with no more tripping over loose shoestrings.
