The new Chucks are made in Vietnam, and are really nice! The sole seem a bit more durable than my previous China made ones.

Why have an ordinary pair of Converse shoes when you can wear these!? Well, that's what my teenager said, anyway. He loves these shoes. Says they're comfortable and draw just the right amount of attention.

When you get to be my age (50), you have to seriously consider the impact created by wearing Chuckie T's. Fortunately, I'm a hip 50, so I can pull it off! I wore 'em as a kid (when they were made right here in the USA) and I started wearing 'em again when they were reintroduced to the fashion market (albeit foreign-made). This latest pair is by far the best of the recent lot. Quite true what they say about the sizing-down, but made all the more comfy by wearing thicker socks. I can actually wear them all day, even do some casual walking (as opposed to the 'power' variety) without any discomfort. Practical? Not really, but I can truly say that these puppies get more use than any of my other recent pairs. Cool? Hi-top Chuckie T's are still the very definition.

The atmosphere color is not as lavender as in the picture. It's a very appealing warm pale gray. I was a little surprised, but it goes with my wardrobe better than lavender would have anyway. Comfy casual go-anywhere shoes. They fit better with socks.

I love the Cons, as I always have. Unfortunately, these are more purple than maroon. After a bit of research, there is actually a maroon color available. I will be ordering a pair of those. These are super cute, but I am building a costume and they are just not quite the right color.

What more can be said that hasn't already been said about a classic? If you're a flatfoot and prefer lightweight, breathable, and flexible materials to adorn your feet, look not further. If you're a fan of running around or playing sports in your bare feet but hate the slap of sandals and can't stand those weird newfangled fabric shoes that conform to your individual toes, Chuck Taylors are your answer. It's a little difficult to get a grasp on how the sizing for these works, as they are said to run big. Basically that means if you wear a 9.5 in a similar style or basic sneaker, you more than likely wear a 9 in Chuck Taylors. Loden Green is a nice color for weddings.

With Zappos you can find anything! These Chuck Taylors do run big so you might want to size down but with Zappos return policy, you have nothing to worry about.

These shoes are wonderful, but for the fact that they are way too narrow. I never thought of myself as having flat or wide feet, either. There was only one width option, and though I've worn them several times, my toes are not thankful. Again to clarify, the size was fine but the shoes are simply too narrow.

I love them... These are my wedding shoes... I have converse in many different colors and this was just the cherry on the pie for me... These shoes are comfortable and stylish enough to go with my wedding dress!

My son has been wearing these for years, and loves them! Only 2 complaints: always need to add an insole for arch support, and that the shoes fall apart after 6 months.

These are Converse All-Stars, the best bicycling sneaker ever devised. Zappos got them to me overnight, in a unique color, and were extremely helpful to me in correcting a mistake I made when ordering.

I didn't realize until I got these that this is the (red) campaign shoe. I don't support the (red) campaign due to a variety of ethical issues with the charity, but may have kept the shoes if they hadn't started losing shoelace hole rivets within 3 days. They were also far more uncomfortable on my ankles than the regular Chuck Taylor high tops that I bought after this to replace them. I'm not sure what the reason is for the manufacturing defects, but for a little more definitely go for the regular Chucks.
Brands I'd also recommend: Regular Non-Specialty Chuck Taylors
