Based on the three reviews I ordered a bigger size against my better judgement. These shorts are true to size. Columbia is always on the generous side of sizing so if you are a 2 order that size. They are made from a nice material, good design and good pockets. These are excellent travel shorts.

I ordered these in a 6 (Gravel) and an 8 (Grill) (for reference I am 125#, 27" waist, 5'5") and typically do fit into Columbia's size 6, but because of reviews on similar Columbia shorts I ordered the 8 as well. I liked the colors, all the pockets are wonderful, the style is great, good length... but where is the stretch? Info talks about a "stretch panel" but I can't find anything stretchy on these shorts! The size 6 was too tight, the 8 was too big. So both are going back.

These shorts are impossibly small. I NEVER wear anything bigger then a 2. I ordered a 4 due to reviews saying they ran small. I couldn't even button them! I would need an 8 in these for any comfort at all. For reference I am 5ft 4, 125lbs.

Beautiful material and workmanship.....however, a size 10 may in fact be a size 2! The proportions just don't work.
