Best buying experence of any company ever. Shoes are uniformn in size from one style to a different style. This is my 5th pair.

Great shoe and very stable. Ordered for a trip to Ireland with lots of walking, but also a lot of time in the car. Shoe stayed comfortable and did not cause my feet to overheat. A little heavy if you're looking to do a lot of trail running in them, but hiking and brief jogs should be fine.
Brands I'd also recommend: Merrell, Asics

I can't believe how impressed I am with these Columbia Romero's. I tried on a pair of Merrells, North Face, and even purchased a pair of Patagonia's . The Merrells were heavy, the North Face pinched my toes, and the Patagonia's gave me a blister on the back of my heel. My new Romero's are light, extremely comfortable (most comfy shoe I own), good looking, and very sturdy. The sole is grip and awesome. The day after I bought them I went on a 10 mile hike through some pretty rough terrain. By the time I was done my feet felt great. The Romero's breathe extremely well and again they are so comfortable. When I got back they were completely filthy caked with mud and dirt. I rinsed them off with a spray hose and let them dry over night. They look totally brand new. By far my new favorite hiker. Goes to show that you don't have to spend a fortune to get a quality shoe.

Zappos service alone is superb and worth mentioning first of all. I love this place. As far as the shoe goes, I only purchase Columbia. Excellent quality and wear. I really like the style and plan on purchasing another pair in the near future... if they haven't sold out that is.

I bought these for my husband and a pair in the womens' style for myself. We love them, they're comfortable and the break in period is short. I started out with just wearing them about for a bit so I didn't go straight for a hike. They have a great look and feel and the arches are comfortable.

These are a great outdoor shoe. Very strudy and almost no break-in period. I have flat arches, so I also have a separate insole (also from Zappos) to make this a more custom fit. Very grippy tread. I'm expecting that the sturdy Columbia construction and water resistance will stand up well to the upcoming winter.
Brands I'd also recommend: Merrell Jungle Moc
