Comes in a square metal can and if you are looking for big and gaudy, like me, this watch fits the bill. For the price it should at least be metal not all plastic or resin. The buttons are a little too big, I keep hitting it on something while working and changing the Daylight Savings Time button or turning the hourly chime on because the buttons a too big. I like the look of the strap although it can get a little sweaty underneath the band. But I like the big easy to read numbers. It has world time but I'm having a little trouble adjusting the Chicago time, which is where I live to match the real time when it is in world time mode, which kind of makes that feature sort of useless. Seem pretty rugged but time will tell, I work with my hands a lot carrying Audio/Visual equipment and cables so it is destined to get banged around some, we'll see if it stands up to the punishment.
