This back pack is tops! I am a cyclist. The orange allows one to be seen. There is a waist strap plus a ones that that straps across the chest that includes a whistle! One can carry their helmet in one section plus a padded section for a laptop. It meets all my criteria plus more! It's a keeper.

Great backpack for a highschooler. It's good looking and tough. Not optimal for carrying a lunch though, at least, not if the main compartment is filled with binders. No room for the lunch inside, and it tends to fall out of the outside zip pocket.

This is a great backpack. The thing I like about it is is that it doesn't allow you to put too much into it. The sternum strap is great, and the whistle is integrated into the buckle. The only thing I don't like about it is that the organizer doesn't really have any way to keep the pockets closed, no zippers, no velcro, etc. That is not such a big deal if you keep it upright, but if you lay it on it's side, things fall out. Another thing is is that the organizer pocket is very deep, I use a grid-it organizer in the lower portion but others may not. Also, the laptop pocket is very tight, good cause it doesn't move much, but really hard to get a pc and tablet in together, unless you have very little else in there. I love it cause it keeps me from overloading it, but it can get heavy if you put a couple books and a laptop inside. Enjoy.
