Overall, I believe Columbia delivers functional products at great value. I also applaud their attempts at innovation. Unfortunately, my expectations for the "Drainmaker" were sadly not met. I bought two pairs, one navy and one pair of white based on my hoped for performance. For me, these shoes are more "Blistermaker" than Drainmaker. I developed blisters on both feet in at least three different locations on each foot, the most noteworthy, the base of my achillies where the extended heel ends. To me needing to wear stockings to prevent blisters when wearing a shoe created to drain defeats the purpose of the shoe. I literally shed blood from the blisters raised.

Brands I'd also recommend: I recommend Columbia, but not this product

Awesome shoes. My feet sweat with no socks but not with these. They get dirty, you just hose them off. Look new again. Love them!

The shoes are very comfortable with or without socks. Running with the shoes feels almost like running in bare feet. The only negative is the large logo on both shoes, which, in my opinion, is unattractive. Otherwise, the shoes are great.

Used these shoes on a five day float trip in MT. They performed outstandingly. Very comfortable, slip resistant, and drained and dried superfast.

Finally a water shoe that I love. I hate sand and mud getting into my shoes, and these keep all of that out. They're fit is secure and lightweight. If you're looking for water shoes, these are the best.

Wow! Fits well, good support, excellent inside finish (important if wearing no socks). Will be great for beach walking, kayaking, playing in the rain.

I was training for a Pacific Crest Trail thru hike and these shoes seemed great at the start but proved to be disaster a few days into it. It does not appear that they are meant for high mileage and or pack weight as the bottom of my forefoot began getting massive blisters; that was despite proper care. If you're going to be putting miles or weight on these, don't get them; they have basically ruined a week of practice hikes, for shame. They are very comfortable in every way but the blisters make them unusable for trekking purposes (in my experience).

These shoes are awesome. I took them backpacking with me in Thailand for over two weeks. They were great for walking and being on the go. I even wore them at the beach when the ocean floor was covered with sea shells. Awesome buy.

These are great for anything having to do with water, or to wear every day. I read the reviews about blistering your feet and they will if you tie them tight like tennis shoes but if if tie them lose I have had no problems with the blistering my feet. I bought mine to wear fishing as I fish a lot by myself and usually have to step in the water loading and unloading my boat and they work great just as advertised.
