Born more than a century ago at the intersection of form and function, Cole Haan has been innovating ever since founder Trafton Cole started making resoleable shoes during the depression. After being bought by Nike in 1988, Cole Haan began introducing footwear with built-in air chambers, utilizing Nike's cutting edge technology to make everything from women's heels to wingtips more comfortable than they'd ever been. Today, the NYC-based brand takes its inspiration from the streets of New York City, offering a range of classic staples with their signature twist—from outerwear and handbags to heels and weekenders—that can stand up to the rigors of the city and still look good.

First and foremost, these shoes are gorgeous. No one who sees you in them will be able to keep from complimenting you on how nice they are. Aside from their beauty, they're a very well made pair of Cole Haan saddle oxfords. Not a pretty pair of cheep Stacy Adams that feel like you're wearing two bricks on your feet with no support. The Nike Air soles truly make a difference while on your feet all day. I wear an 11M in J&M and although the 11M Cole Haan's felt a little tight when I first put them on, they stretched just a bit and fit perfect shortly after putting them on for the first time. That said, like most new leather shoes, they're going to take a little time to wear in and the first few times you wear them your feet will likely be a little sore. Unlike a nice pair of brown calfskin wingtips, these shoes will need a bit more TLC. Although they're made of nubuck and are quite durable, you'll want to do some pre-wear preventative maintenance on the shoes. Do yourself a favor and purchase a nubuck brush and some nubuck/suede water and stain repellent. If you don't take the precaution of spraying them down with the protectant, you'll wish you had shortly after the first wear. You can't imagine the things that will find their way to the ultra white surface of the shoes. In the event you get a stain on them, the first course of action is to let the stain dry and then use an eraser (a white Pentel Click Eraser will work great or you can use a traditional Papermate Pink Pearl eraser) to rub out the stain. It's amazing how well it works. If that doesn't work, pick up a bottle of nubuck cleaner. If you're considering these shoes, make the leap and buy them. You won't be sorry. They're a great addition to the collection.

This was my first time ordering with Zappos an I am very happy with the out come. My purchase came on time and I have had no issues with them. I will be ordering again from this site. The shoes are great! I am a Cole Haan fan and these do not disappoint!

Love the look of these shoes. I have had several people stop me on the streets of NY telling me how much they love the shoes. I sprayed them with waterproofing to hopefully ensure the orange stays clean.

I typically wear 10.5 to 11.5 depending on the shoe -- they only had size 11. They fit great. There isn't a whole lot of arch support, but these aren't athletic shoes. They'll take some breaking in, but they look like a quality piece of workmanship -- the sole is actually wood, not that composite plastic or foam you see in cheaper shoes. I think I'm sticking to Born shoes and Cole Haan from now on, used to like Clarks but the quality isn't the same.

Great shoe at a great price! I had my eye on these for a while. They are so comfortable and look great with dress pants, jeans, or khakis. The size is pretty true. I can wear a10 1/2 or 11 so I went with the 11 since Cole Haan run a little small for me. Beautiful shoe and the Zappos service was amazing. I used the tell me when it's back in stock feature and was notified by email so I placed my order. Received them in three days. Buy this shoe and make your friends jealous.
