Born more than a century ago at the intersection of form and function, Cole Haan has been innovating ever since founder Trafton Cole started making resoleable shoes during the depression. After being bought by Nike in 1988, Cole Haan began introducing footwear with built-in air chambers, utilizing Nike's cutting edge technology to make everything from women's heels to wingtips more comfortable than they'd ever been. Today, the NYC-based brand takes its inspiration from the streets of New York City, offering a range of classic staples with their signature twist—from outerwear and handbags to heels and weekenders—that can stand up to the rigors of the city and still look good.

One of the most comfortable dress shoes I have ever worn, great right out of the box. I have a high arch and usually have trouble with breaking in new shoes. It is amazing how many people comment on your shoes when your sporting a good pair.

Nice, stylish shoe. Fit extremely well but the first pair I ordered during I noticed a small bubble that started to form on the left toe cap. The bubble was about the size of a penny then began to enlarge. Soon after I noticed the same began to occur on the right foot. I returned the pair thinking it was just a defective pair but then noticed the same thing began to occur on the second pair. I wouldn't recommend this shoe.

I needed something for an upcoming formal event and then later to wear with suits. These shoes fit the bill and then some. They are a little on the shiny side, suitable for a tuxedo, but not so much as to look like those plastic rental shoes. My most glowing comment is reserved for comfort and these are the most comfortable dress shoes that I have ever worn! I am a 10W and it is often difficult to get a decent fit, yet these feel like I am wearing athletic walking shoes. The break in period was about one day and then I took them on a one week trip overseas with daily wear and they got more comfortable by the day. I will order all of my future dress shoes from the Cole Haan Air line of shoes!

Great shoe. Broke them in after only a couple hours. They also shine very well. I did swap the 10.5 for the 10.5 wide and found the extra width more comfortable.

I bought the original version of this shoe 10 years ago, before Nike owned Cole Haan. While it was a terrific shoe, the comfort of the new Air Carter eclipses the old one. There's not even a comparison, especially when you spend long hours on your feet. I ordered the EE size, and CH certainly nailed the sizing. Thing is, if you take care of them, these shoes will last forever. I would stack them up against some of the finest Italian or American-made dress shoes out there today. The price is steep, but you get what you pay for.

Excellent shoe for business wear. So shiny I could almost wear it with a tux! Extremely comfortable and I would definitely recommend it.
