Cole Haan has changed the interior leather of their oxfords, and as a result they are not nearly as comfortable. I bought the Air Adams to replace an older Cole Haan Air Jackson split toe. The Air Jackson was the most comfortable dress shoe I had ever worn. Unfortunately, Cole Haan apparently stopped making that shoe. The Air Jackson had a very soft tan leather interior. The Air Adams has a much more rigid black leather interior. The result is striking. From wearing the Air Adams, my feet have blisters. I went back to my old Air Jacksons and felt like I was walking on clouds again. I looked for another pair of Cole Haans that has the soft tan interior and only the Air Carters have them at this price point, but they have a glossy finish, which I don't care for. I'm very disappointed that Cole Haan appears to have changed the leather they use on the interior of their shoes.

Caution! My pair fell apart after 3 weeks at the toe on the right foot shoe. I have a feeling it is a design flaw. Rubber sole + slight upturn in the toe means the shoe falls apart way too easily.

True to the picture, true to size. I love Cole Haan shoes. I can't wear dress shoes anymore. They wear me out by the end of the day, but Cole Haan shoes are very comfortable making it much easier to get through the day. It's a plus that they are incredibly stylish. Highly recommended.

The shoe has a very hard and high rear lip, that digs painfully into my Achilles tendon, tearing at the skin! Too bad, I really liked the color and style.

The shoes are great looking with a soft and comfy insole. However, the counter (end part) was rough until I bought a support which fixed the problem. I am a size 8.5-9 but ended up a size 8 with this brand!

Excellent looking shoe that pairs well with both business and casual clothing. Sizing felt right on. I like stiffer leather construction on a shoe but these were a cakewalk to break in. Only complaint would be the color. The British tan in the picture looks darker than the shoe I received.

I purchased these for a restaurant owner who needs something comfortable yet stylish. These shoes have a soft flexibility. The Adams Split Oxford looks great and keeps his feet feeling good for hours as he hops from table to table to meet and greet diners. He loves all of Cole Haan air max shoes. He wears the same size as he would with Nike sneakers and they run true to size.

I like the shoe a lot. I bought a size 9D, and they were a little tight causing discomfort. I gave them to my Brother after a few wears and will now order a size 9 1/2 D.
Brands I'd also recommend: Stacy Adams madison

Nice looking shoe. Back of the shoe is very uncomfortable though because it is cut low and has no cushioning. This causes irritation.

I had some initial issues. The first day I wore this I ended up walking an awful lot and it took some layers of skin out of my heel. Other than that they look and work pretty good. I'm not a fan of the color though. The color I wanted wasn't available at the time. As of right now I would buy this again in the future but in a darker color.

Simply put, these shoes are poorly designed and/or manufactured. They are not shaped properly for human feet. There is too much of a gap from top of foot to heel for the shoe to fit properly. I had the same issue with rubbing on the heel as other users. I used to associate Cole Hann with quality. Now I realize it is just an outsourced brand shoe with zero intrinsic quality. It is apparent that quality control is not something anyone in the supply chain pays attention to.

I also ordered the Cole Haan Air Carter. The Air Adam is a significant step down in dressiness, especially because the finish is not as shiny or bright. Also has a longer, narrower looking toe box. Is a handsome shoe, but not ideal for wearing with a suit because is somewhat less dressy. As with the Air Carter, the overall workmanship does not seem top-notch. I would expect a more solid-feeling product. Also, this one does not have a leather sole, which I really prefer.

Excellent, classic oxford. Great color and details. I bought them as a gift and was told they are extremely comfortable. The leather definitely lasts longer and looks better when treated occasionally with the shoe cream/polish.
Brands I'd also recommend: Salvatore Ferragamo
