I got these shoes for a trip to Europe - I anticipated a lot of walking and didn't have any really good shoes, plus I knew it would be raining a lot, so I wanted some short leather boots for comfort and for wearing in rain. These arrived in two days, right before we were to leave on our trip. I was a little worried about breaking them in, but from the start these were super comfortable! I have very high arches and these were very supportive. I also worried that the heel might be too high for doing a lot of walking, but no problem from that quarter either. I wore these every other day so as to give my feet a rest in case they should start hurting; towards the end of the trip however I wore these five days in a row due to rain, and only experienced discomfort on the evening of the fourth day (and in the morning I was fine). I don't know that any shoe could be worn five days in a row without any discomfort! I love the style too and have gotten many compliments. Great purchase and good pricing.

I wanted to love these, but did not. First, the good. The upper has a nice shape and the stone color is perfect. I liked the oily moleskin type leather and while it was more plain, the shaping and good leather made it nice. It also hit at a nice place on the ankle. Unfortunately, below the upper it wasn't so hot. The insole was not great. If the price point had been about $30-$40 less, then sure, it would have been a fine insole, but at this price point you're competing with Born Crown, Clark Artisan, Sofft, Spring Step, Dansko, and Rockport, all of which have a much nicer insole with more cushion and support. Not to mention Vionic who has a footbed with orders of magnitude more support (think orthopedics without seeing a doctor) and is starting to make some good uppers. The sole tread is rounded at the edges of the toe / ball of the foot. I can see it now in the photos because that ever so slight roundness makes for extra motion and instability. If the tread in the front had been just flat, the motion wouldn't be there. Also, while the heel is made of a really nice and solid stacked heel, the heel is set forward just enough where it seemed to add to the motion. If you have sensitive ankles or knees, you're going to feel that instability. It frustrated me because all they would have had to do is make the front of the tread flat and set that heel back just a small bit. In all, I was disappointed. I had ordered both the 7 and 7.5. The larger size would have accommodated a thick sock. But, they all go back. Of course, the praises sung for Zappos can't be overdone. Excellent.

This is my first pair of Cobb Hill shoes and they are wonderful. I'm 5'11 and never wear heels so I was a little nervous about these, but they are so comfortable I won't go back to cheap flats again. I have a high arch, but there is enough support in these. I highly recommend them. So soft!

I wear an 8.5 wide w/ neuropathy in my feet and these are the most comfortable shoes I've ever owned. I have a very high arch and was worried about support, but the heel is just the right height to hug my foot perfectly. There was a very short breaking in period with them being a bit tight across the top of my foot; 15 mins with thick socks on had them fitting like a dream. Great rubber sole for traction and steady heel. Not too hot or too cold - perfect for fall and winter. Love these.

I have gotten tired of shoes with bad support, and decided to invest some money in some shoes that are stylish and comfortable. A recent appointment with the podiatrist made me realize how much damage all of those flip-flips, flats and cheap heels have done - bunions (at 25!) and pronation, which were contributing to my knee problems! So you can imagine my extreme excitement when I found these shoes, which not only look awesome but are seriously comfortable. Even with my narrow foot they have awesome arch support, and the inside of the shoe is nice and springy while the sole is still hard and thick enough to walk around a lot and not make my bunions hurt. The heel is very slight, so it gives a nice feminine touch without really even feeling like a heel. I'm in love! I'm thinking of getting more pairs because I can't even bear to think of having to stop wearing these. All in all, a stylish and comfortable investment!

I'd also recommend: Munro American
