Almost a decade ago, the Coal® brand name was created in Portland, Oregon in a small apartment where the founders were inspired by family and friends and influenced by other great, forward-thinking brands. Nice hat. I'm going to Bali soon and needed a neutral hat that I could pack. I have rosacea and it's very important that my face stay out of the sun. This hat is nice. Good material and easy to pack.
This hat makes me feel so stylish. The neutral brown color goes with a lot of different outfits. I have worn this with dresses and even jeans and a blouse. The brim is so broad that I could probably avoid sunscreen all together. Looking at pictures of myself with the hat on I notice that the brim looks significantly larger than it does in the product picture with the mannequin. The large mannequin's head makes demonstrates a misleading hat size.
I'm only giving this a three stars because it does not fit. Otherwise, I love this hat. I did have to return it. First, if you have a large forehead or crown, this would be a good hat for you. I have a large head, but small forehead. I ordered a medium and it was tight. However, the hat pulled down below my eyebrows. I had to tilt the hat so far back in order to see that it looked like the flying nun hat. The material is wonderful. It feels and looks as if this is a hat from Neiman's. It is very classy. It is a gorgeous hat. It just does not fit small foreheaded women well.
This hat is perfect! The quality is great. I also love that the stitching is tight, so it won't let in those sun rays.
