I have been wearing Clarks shoes for a long time, and I am a huge fan. However, I did not like these shoes at all, and returned them after wearing them for 1 minute. My problem? The insole. It has ridges and stitching right in the insole. I never understand why manufacturers do this to an insole. Once I put on the shoe I could feel all of the ridges and the stitching right on the bottom of my foot. This was very uncomfortable. My past Clarks have never had this kind of an insole. In fact, I purchased another Clarks shoe as well, and that shoe also had stitching on the insole. That shoe was returned as well.

These shoes are absolutely beautiful! Well made, looks like they will last a long time. Very comfortable; not stiff at all.
I'd also recommend: check out Dockers Gordon

This is a very heavy shoe. I would be tired after an hour on my feet. I'll keep looking!

I'm not happy with these shoes at all. I've been a fan of Clarks for a long time, and this is the first pair of shoes that have disappointed. The right shoe made squeaking sounds from the first day I wore them. I figured that it would simply go away as the shoes were broken in. Well, it didn't. Additionally, one of the seams on the left shoe began fraying after only a few times I wore them. So now I've got a "nearly new" pair of shoes that are un-returnable and basically unwearable due to the annoying sound the right shoe produces when walking. So in summation, I've got one squeaky shoe and one fraying shoe after having worn the shoes for less than 3 months (all of these problems started within a month of wear, but I've been busy and didn't have time to write a review until now). Guess I'm the lucky winner of the crappy shoe award! That's only a good amount of money down the drain.... Not happy!
