Sold! Thanks again Zappos. I got the Clarks Portland shoes for my husband for Christmas and he loves it. He said that it is very comfortable, light and good arch support. He is wearing this shoes every time and I think this is the favorite shoes for now until I get him another pair.

Had these shoes before in the brown. Good fit. Nice feeling, lost their form but that doesn't matter to me. This shoe feels great with no break-in time. Not great looking though.

My husband loves these shoes. He had 2 pairs before, 1 black 1 brown, and they are his most comfortable. I'm okay with the style in a comfortable shoe which isn't always the case. He wears with suits and jeans. Now if only they would cause him to dance!

I had a brown one before; it is very comfortable and feels good. I like Clarks and these shoes are known for their durability and comfort. Excellent customer service - I bought the brown normal size and was a bit tight so I called and they exchanged it to me with the black one which was more expensive but they sent it to me without extra charge, which I am grateful. Thanks Zappos.

Besides the fact that these shoes were made in Vietnam, info you can find if you dig in the reviews section, these are pretty slick (nice, not slippery) shoes. The only other complaint, thus far, is how soft the leather is. For those of you with a job where you might scuff your shoes up a bit, I have a feeling you would tear these up. Just enough arch support, very comfortable, good looking, and a tread (sole) design that is just begging to kick someone in the face, these are really nice shoes. Good value, they do fit the correct width, but the length should be ordered a half to a full size smaller than your norm. I'll be getting another pair for sure, and as another reviewer has said, use a leather conditioner or protectant on these or you will wear them out prematurely. Get the right size and you will be very happy!

I bought these Clarks Portland shoes as a replacement for a pair that finally wore out after three years of heavy wear. They are well made, durable, and are an excellent casual shoe. As with all Clarks shoes: order a full size smaller than what you normally wear. I recommend that you periodically apply a leather conditioner (such as Lexol) to keep them looking like new. They break in very quickly. My shoes were made in Vietnam.

Very comfortable shoe. There was plenty of room for my orthotic (arch insert) and good room in the toe area. I do have to retie once or twice through the day but then I like a snug feel. I haven't worn it in rainy weather yet but feel it will be fine--good quality waterproof leather. Good lookin' casual shoe.

They were comfortable out of the box, and became more comfortable after the first time. They feel soft and light and I hardly know they are on. For my feet, I think they are very true to size. As usual, Zappos service was great!

Very pleased in every respect, including appearance, materials, workmanship, value and fit. These shoes are both narrow and have a low instep height which is sometimes hard to find. Took only about one day of walking to feel completely comfortable.

We ordered a pair of Portland shoes made by Clarke that turned out to big and not the color my husband wanted. We were able to return them and get the right size in another color with no trouble with their free shipping. Our money was refunded in full and they did not charge for shipping the new pair.\r\n\r\nZappo\'s service is excellent. The shoes are very comfortable. The color is right too.

Extremely comfortable shoe. they seem to fit a little long, but not too much to matter. i am very hard on shoes with my job and i have only had them for a few weeks, so i cannot speak to their durability. overall a decent shoe with a good (almost high) arch.
