I wore these through freezing drizzle in Scandinavia, walking two to three hours per day, then wore them all winter long in Saint Paul's snow and ice. They are oversized, which is what you want for cold weather. You can wear a couple pair of thin wool socks and walk for a couple hours in zero degrees without getting cold feet.They are also good for bicycling in cold weather. Great for airplane travel, they go on and off quickly. Like walking barefoot, they have very little arch.

I was a little hesitant at first as the size was a little big and with no half sizes afraid to go smaller. I put on a thicker sock and it was perfect. They are very comfortable and worked well when I was out in the snow.

Loose around the ankles -
Just a bit too loose around the ankles - and my size 14 feet do not come with small ankles. Otherwise it's a really handsome shoe and a great concept. The foot bed is super comfortable too. I was tempted to keep them but the slop around the ankles bugged me.

A terrific rain boot -
I bought this boot for a male friend who works on the technical side in the film industry in Vancouver, B.C. Canada - it often involves him standing 12-16 hours per day outside - at this time of year - cold as well as wet. He needed something absolutely waterproof, comfortable, and - if possible -stylish: this boot totally fit the bill! He's reported to me the boot is satisfactory in every respect and he's very pleased with the way they look - has received seven! positive comments from his co-workers. The only possible weak point would be the zipper, but it's pretty rugged and should stand up well especially if used with some care. A modern-looking comfortable boot, it's beyond expectations in all respects and particularly a pleasant surprise in a size 12.Thanks once again to Zappos for their wide range of products and superb service.

Bought these for easy-off rain/snow weather. Opening at top too large. Not snug fit. Next size down cramped toes. Wear w/heavy socks.

Exactly 1 year after purchase, wearing boots on vacation, rubber rear heel separated from the boot. Now unwearable.

Good shoe.
Nice, but these shoes are really geared more towards the rain. The leather has a sheen of gloss on it which almost makes it appear to be rubber from a distance. I'm guessing it's that “sheen” that makes them waterproof. I wish it had a flat look instead of gloss. I like the style of the shoe, but the waterproof feature is not a selling point for me as I am too old to be playing out in the rain. Other than that, they're high quality Clarks and I'd recommend them.

Poor Quality Kamet's -
I bought a pair of these in December of 2007. The first thing I noticed is an annoying squeak from the left boot when I walked... I managed to get passed that but when one morning the zipper came off in my hand; I realized that this was truly a disappointing purchase. The boots are now unusable.

Great shoe -
I really like the shoe. I wore them around and realized how warm they are. The only thing that I have a small issue with, but not bad enough to return is the opening is designed for a larger ankle than mine and there is no way to fix the problem. But with a thicker sock it will work fine.

Not this one...
This was way too hard to get on... neither myself or my daughter could just slip into them. Never got a chance to wear them... when we finally got them on, couldn't get the zipper up. Didn't even send them back - took them to Goodwill. I cannot recommend this shoe!

This shoe/boot is well suited for the Michigan Winters. I don't do hiking or other Winter sports, however, I do use this shoe/boot for shoveling snow, walking in snow, etc. I, also, use it as a dress up boot when going to clients offices or homes. It an easy on-easy off zipper front boot. For doing the things that I do, it serves me very well.
Other Brands Recommended by Reviewer: None, this shoe/boot works perfectly well.

Waterproof Clarks for Winter -
I love these boots. They are perfect for the snow. They have kept my feet warm and dry up in Vermont.
