I normally wear an 8.5 and have wide fit but this feels more like a 9 to me. The width is great but my foot is slipping around like crazy in these 8.5s. Love the cushy gum sole but wish this had any arch support. I have high arches so I bet there is some. I just can't feel it.

I have a problem with a high arch. This shoe is a little tight on the top of my foot when zipped. I think it will soften up and stretch with time. Otherwise, I love the shoe. Feels very substantial, but stylish.

These are comfortable out of the box. The black ones seemed a little wide to me at the heel - but they don't slide off - so OK. Little to no arch support, though - wish it had that. I can't wear heels anymore - so these fill the void well. Look great with dress slacks or jeans. Very happy with them.

Very cute, comfortable shoe. No break-in time needed. Great cushion, too. They look great with jeans or slacks... dress ‘em up or dress ‘em down. They are a great shoe without looking like an old lady shoe. Zappos is the best with fast service! I recommend both Zappos and the shoes.

Due to the bunions I wear sizes anywhere from 9W to 10M and 9.5 according to the chart, with width between M and W, so because all reviews stated these shoes are true to size, I ordered my most frequent fit: 9.5W. These shoes are much longer than 9.5 and because the instep is high, they don't hold the heel at all. An insole from my husband's man's athletic shoes size 9X (3E) (add 1.5 for woman's size) fits ideally inside and then the shoes feel just right in the toes, but the heel still slips out. True, I have a low instep, but the insole is exactly 11" long (!) and there is still space behind my heel, when I scoot my foot all the way forward. I will try to exchange them for 9M. Other than the size problems, the shoe looks well-made and seems very comfy and well cushioned. There is little arch support, though. Unless you have very high insteps, I would order at least a half size smaller and would go down with the width.

Very attractive shoe that is great for business casual work environment, as well as after hours activities. Looks great with slacks and jeans. Very comfortable except for the fact that it does not have great arch support so my feet do feel tired after a full day. But the style is very nice.

These are my favorite shoes right now. I first bought a pair in brown, and loved them so much, I just bought them in black. I'm not a real stylish type of person, so don't care if I wear the same type of shoes every day. Comfort is key!

As a loyal Clark's customer, I can say this shoe is not the Clarks I have been wearing for years. The fit and comfort features that are evident when you normally slip on a Clark's is missing. I have always been able to order the same size and width, knowing I would be able to wear them right out of the box. This shoe feels like I am walking on a board with every step. Going to try an insole to see if it will help.

These shoes are well made, super comfy and great for commuting on public transportation but not stylish at all. I'm a 10 but find that Clarks run big so ordered 9.5 and the fit is good although sometimes the zipper feels too snug so I unzip it for a few minutes. The zipper thing makes me feel like I'm wearing old lady shoes -- oh wait I am an old lady!

Great walking shoe. Comfortable from the first time I put them on. Good support, good quality. Used on recent 2-week trip to Europe and they stood up well. Quality of leather and inner materials quite good.
