cute, but I should have believed the other reviewers...
I read the reviews that said the rear top of the shoe rubbed painfully. How bad could it be? I ordered the burgandy and it is actually almost a grape color, very very dark. It's pretty and looks good against my jeans but also with against gray and when I put it near my brown jacket you would think it is brown. But back to the pain: the back of the shoe angles in as it angles up, and so there is plenty of room for your heel but the top part points into your achilles tendon. I can't tell yet if they will soften or not. The leather is also sharp where it touches the top of my foot. The arch support is great, though, and the soles look like they will be great in fall/winter weather.

I was so excited to order this darling shoe from Clarks. I am sorry to say the Funky Sun was the worst shoe I've ever purchased. I will say the 9M felt true to size, but the leather was thin on this shoe and rather stiff, almost cheap in appearance. The insole was comfy, and the rugged rubber sole was durable. My problem area was the hard leather at the back of the shoe. It rubbed the skin off my left heel, and was very painful before that. I got a big blister on the back of my right heel. I tried to soften up the area by manipulating the leather, but nothing could help because there was no padding, and as I stated before, the leather was thin and stiff and could not be improved. I am shocked at the low quality of this shoe, very unlike all the Clarks I've loved and worn to death in the past.

Love these shoes. Very cute, comfortable and versatile. So far I've worn mine with jeans and cargo pants. They would probably be cute with crop pants too. They do run 1/2 size smaller than marked. I normally wear an 8 1/2 in Privo, but needed a 9 in these. Also, there is a little break in period with the heels. The top part rubbed blisters on my heels, so I recommend wearing band aids for the break in period.

I was so excited to get these shoes. They felt great at first. I have such a hard time finding shoes that fit and don't hurt my bunions. But after a couple of hours, I had a terrible blister on my right heel. I bought a heel pads, and had to put two in one shoe. I hope that will help.

I don't understand!
Looks great, comes from a maker known for comfort and style and well-crafted shoes...so why are these so uncomfortable? I really loved the look of these shoes. And, woo hoo, they came in wide without looking like clown shoes! BUT! I can NOT wear these without padding at the heels. I've given it a good try too. I've tried orthotics; I've tried orthotics on top of orthotics. The heel DIGS, and I mean in a most absurdly painful way, and won't let up until you are screaming in misery "I'VE GOT TO GET THESE @!#% SHOES OFF NOW!!!!!" Sadly, it is too late for me to return these. But, I will be writing a letter to Clarks to express my disappointment because I can only wear these with a 3 inch wide by 4 inch long strip of Dr Scholl’s foam moleskin stuck to my heel so of course I can only wear these with socks or without socks if I have long pants that conceal my secret. And in case you didn't know, that stuff is really one-use only so expect to fork over a lot of dough on heel padding. Sad. Just...sad and disappointing.

Sad that the heel of this shoe is so STIFF -
I was so excited that this shoe was comfortable in the toe area. This is where I usually struggle. I had to go up two sizes to try to get the heel not to dig in, but even that didn't work. Sorry to say after wearing these around the house several times, I must return them because the heel is too stiff and is killing my heel. :( (would love to have these shoes if Clarks corrects the heel problem)

I was on the fence about the look but the cushiony soles won me over. But wearing them around my flat I knew they had to go back - the heel is super stiff and rubs like crazy. Even though I tried to soften it, it just wasn't going to get any better and so I had to return them.

Super cute, but heel rubs -
I quite like these shoes. They are super cute! I have a narrow foot and the strap across the top is perfect for me as ballet flat styles do not work for me. I will say that the heel rubs something awful. I am still breaking them in and I have faith that someday I will be able to wear them without band aids. But, with band aids, they are fine.

Cute and bouncy but not comfortable -
So bummed that these didn't fit well. Length was true to size but dug into my Achilles and at the widest part of the shoe. I figured Clarks would be comfortable right out of the box, but not this time.

BEAUTIFUL SHOES! I found myself just staring at these shoes and the fine detail in them. They are made SO nicely, just that alone adds character to them. I wear Clarks mainly for shoes, and these are by far in my top two favorites that I have ever owned. The comfort is outstanding as well, never have my toes been so comfortable in a closed shoe. These can be worn to the office, casually, with a skirt or with pants, very versatile.
