For years Clarks was my go to brand. Comfortable and affordable. While they are still priced right I have found that lately I am not experiencing the same "out of the box" comfort as before. This shoe is feels narrow to me in the 8.5 I have worn for years with this brand. I have to work my foot into the straps and then they either rub or gap at different places on my foot. I suppose the tight parts will stretch but I am afraid the areas which gap might gap even more as I wear them. Too bad. The platinum color is a pretty neutral and I had hoped to order another pair.
Brands I'd also recommend: Merrell, Keen, Cole Haan, Gentle Soles

Just got these in the tan and the platinum, and they are really pretty. Have not worn them but I have problem feet to fit and these seem like they will be comfortable. The tan is a little lighter than it appears on my screen, but I think I like that better. The platinum is really a nice color and, as another reviewer stated, it is a good neutral. Took my regular size and my feet range between a medium and wide width. Overall, I like them very much and may order the black as well.

I bought these shoes as cute summer wedges and to wear at school. I'm a teacher and good-quality, comfortable shoes are extremely important. I walk around school all day and stand on my feet most of the time while I am teaching. At the end of the day, my feet don't hurt one bit because the soles are extremely supportive and comfortable. Plus, they're cute and not drab "teacher shoes." I strongly recommend these not only for the cute factor but also for the comfort factor.

Lovely shoe, just didn't fit well. If you have rather flat feet or narrow feet, this shoe will not work for you. Takes a high arch and a medium width. Really a nice looking shoe on and wonderful heel height. Sorry, had to return.

Love these shoes! They are comfortable, fun and gorgeous. I wear an 8 and have a slightly wider foot with a high arch. I ordered the 8.5 and they fit wonderful. I can wear them all day and walk through downtown Chicago and they look great with pants or jeans or skirts.

I am a 6 1/2 with a relatively high arch and slim foot. These sandals fit perfectly in every way. The leather (on the burnt orange) is very soft. The color is slightly softer than pictured, but very pretty. I love them.

These shoes are fantastic! After seeing these shoes featured in the latest issue of Glamour I had to have them! I am a hair stylist and am on my feet for 12 hours...no complaints or pains. In fact I didn't want to take them off! I received numerous compliments also.

These are the most comfortable sandals I have ever owned. I love them so much, I also ordered them in the platinum. Nice, graduated heel, great cushioning, comfortable straps. Can't go wrong here!

Great looking style to dress up or down, with very comfortable heel height. This shoe only comes in a medium width, so had to return my regular size for next size up in order to accommodate my wide foot. Fits perfectly, and footbed doesn't look too long. Love these shoes and would buy again!

Lovely style , however horrible fit! These shoes are narrow near where you put your foot in the shoe and oddly enough are loose (like there is extra leather ) near the toe hole! So, the leather is tight and loose in the wrong places. Huge disappointment. Also, I am a size 9 and had to size up to a 10 in these.
