Give it time - I absolutely hated this shoe when I took it out of the box...now I wear it every single day. Wish it had a smooth leather sock liner, but once I get it on with my socks, it is great. Please, put smooth leather footbed from toe to heel, please that rough toe bed is not so good.
Brands I'd also recommend: Wallabee boot for women.

This is a very nice and comfortable shoe. For patent leather it is not very shiny except on the toe and heel. It will dress up a pair of casual pants and not be too casual for a dressy pair of pants. The shoe though is larger than expected. My heal come out when walking. I wear a size 7 med US. This is a size 7-7.5 or 38 medium. It is also just a tad wider. I wore a midweight sock with this. I bought another pair of Riekers the same size (different style shoe) that fits perfectly. The sole on this pair though seams a little more comfy. I am returning these and contemplating trying one size smaller.

Desert trek - The Desert Trek shoes you should make the one's with out the line in middle and with sheep skin inside the desert trek like a boot a short desert boot it was called before just like wallabies with sheep skin in the 70 and 80's they use to have them you would sell alot of them i didnt see that shoe come out yet. for the new generation.helen

Amazing! These shoes are extremely comfortable. The soles are soft and quiet. The gray color goes with nearly everything. The only problem is that short socks get sucked in to them and long ones stick out and look funny!

The real deal - I needed a new pair of anything shoes, and everyone recommended Clarks. I decided to try them out and they are definitely everything they're cracked up to be. They look great--everyone loves them. Not gonna lie, I had a couple blisters the first few days, but leather always has to be worn in. Now they're perfect! You should really try these out!

I prefer crepe-sole shoes for work but in the past have had trouble finding quality women's shoes for work. I have had a pair of Desert Treks for about two years. They were comfortable from day one and have held up very well. In Idaho, I may be working one day in the desert, the next in the mountains; dust, rocks, heat, or cold. The Treks have been great.

Color Request - I have worn these shoes most days (except summer) for at least 5 years. I have the black which is no longer available and wonder if we can get it back? For the shopper who did not like the shoe's support, I felt the same way until I used Spenco arch supports. They're great and do not make the shoe too tight.
