These shoes rock! They are really comfortable right off the bat, and they go with anything. I wear them with jeans and a t-shirt or khakis and a dress shirt. Fantastic multi-purpose shoe with great Clarks quality. I have fat feet so a wide size would be nice though.

This is my first day with the Desert Treks. I'm writing this review to give my opinion on the sizing, as there seems to be some discrepancy between people as to how the Desert Treks are sized. I was a bit confused myself, upon reading reviews, as to what size I should purchase. I'm a man with a size 12 foot that runs a bit narrow. The Desert Treks feel precisely true to size for me. I ordered a size 12 and these fit perfectly, if not a little snug in the width. However, from what I read, they will stretch and conform to my foot after a few days. So, my recommendation is to order your true size when purchasing the Desert Treks. As for everything else, they looked as good or better than I had hoped. Very classy, yet casual. Very playboy.

Second Only To My Classic Deserts - The Clarks organization not only knows footwear, they know customer service. I have never experienced anything like the help I get in stores or over the phone. And the level of sevice is coast-to-coast. The only style of Clarks I wear more than my Treks is the Classic Deserts. Either way you go... they are nothing short of pure class.

This is my second pair of Desert Treks, but first pair in suede. I usually wear size 10.5, but as far as Desert Treks and wallabees, I get them in size 10 since they stretch out quite nicely. They are very comfortable, of course, and go best with some 501's. Great Clarks selection, great service, no sales tax and free shipping is why I will continue to purchase my Clarks from Zappos!

Love these shoes! They\'re a perfect blend of dressy and casual for pretty much anything. They look exactly as they do online, and they\'re sturdy too, as my husband is pretty hard on his shoes. Thumbs up for Clarks and thumbs up for Zappos, my fave online shoe retailer! (Got here in one day and we didn\'t pay extra!)

Excellent show, these are my now 4th pair of Desert Treks. I purchased the new ones to replace the 1st pair I ever bought in 1999. That's right, 10 years of casual wear. I can't say enough good things out this shoe. They are not super comfy right out of the box, but after a day or so of wear they break in to conform to your foot. The looks are classic and I always receive compliments from people when I wear them. Now, sizing: I wear an 11 (44/N) in Birkenstocks and 11 in most athletic shoes and these fit true to size for me. I wear these more than my Birkenstock London's and that's saying something when a company can compete with Birkenstock comfort.

Over 35 years - I've been wearing treks and wallabbees for over 35 years. (While still in high school) My son who is twenty four used to tease me about not changing my style. He has been wearing them for nine years now and alot of his friends like the shoes, after all they are "retro" for the surf crowd.

This is the perfect shoe for that casual look with jeans. It’s perfect for those guys in their 30's like me that don't wear sneakers unless they're working out. Goes perfect with jeans, and everybody was digging my Clarks when I wore them for the 1st time. They feel and look like expensive plush shoes with your jeans. The comfort of a slipper and the look of a millionaire. I might get another pair for the future, just in case they become an instant classic, like Jordan's that go for ridiculous prices now.

Best all rounder - This is one of the best shoes that Clarks ever made. It is stylish, classy,and as for comfort it says it all.

Great Shoes - This is my third pair of these, so obviously I like them a lot. I am very flat footed and must wear orthotics in everything. With these, I have room for the orthotics and the toe box is very roomy. I only wish they came in more colors (navy, loden).

Would have been good... When I ordered these shoes they were pictured on the website with a light-colored sole. When I received them, they had a black sole as pictured here. They fit great and were really comfortable but I just didn't want to black sole so I returned them for a the beeswax leather which are great.
