Nice shoes. They definitely run big though. I normally wear a 10.5 or an 11, and Clarks Desert Boots in size 10 feel about a half size too big. I\'d recommend ordering a size smaller than you normally wear. There isn\'t a whole lot of arch support either.

This was my first time ever purchasing a pair of Clarks. I chose the Desert Cougar because I work in NYC luxury retail and I am on my feet at least 12 hour per day, so comfort is a must. I also think the style works well with jeans, khakis, flannels and dress pants for a casual yet sophisticated look. I normally wear a size 11, but for my feet the shoes ran a least a half size larger. I placed a comfy insole inside for extra support and wore them every day for a week to break them in. I am very happy with my purchase and will order other colors of this style.

I like these boots. I think they look nice on, although they are definitely on the spartan side in terms of appearance. The crepe sole is quite comfortable but a little too "soft" for my taste. I think insoles might help, also a must as there is no real arch support to speak of. The toebox feels more spacious than it looks, and I think the shoe is slightly wider than standard (my foot is slightly wider and the shoe is comfortable). The biggest issue with this shoe is that it can be a pain to get on. I wish the "heel loop" was big enough to function. This may improve in time as the shoe loosens up, but I definitely dread getting these things on my feet. Zappos.com is my favorite online merchant. They're great!

I usually wear snickers, so buying a boot was somewhat of a gamble for me, verifying the correct size and such. But with this boot it turned out to be a winner, as this is one of the most comfortable boots I have ever worn. The leather isn't hard on your skin, and the sole is extremely flexible. Okay, so it's not as comfortable as a training shoe, but then it's not meant to be. Note: I wear 13, but this was a size smaller. All in all, a very good buy and you get the usual bonus in the shape of Zappos' now legendary service.

Very comfortable shoe, no break in time needed. Nice look and functional. So far they are waterproof, and in Oregon that means something. Good price, good product.

These boots look great and are very comfortable. I work in a casual office and I was looking for something that I could wear every day. After 2 weeks of wearing them, I can highly recommend them. The distressed look goes great with jeans and the soft brown is a great color. At first I was apprehensive about the soft gum outsoles, but they hold up very well and are soft enough for long walks. \\r\\n\\r\\nThis is the kind of boot of you wear until it dies and then order another pair. Great job Clarks!
