Citizen Watches

I have had this watch for three years. Never needs a battery. Solar powered. Classic look. Incredibly accurate. I compare it to the times on my iPhone and it gains about ten seconds a month. It is a great basic watch and fairly handsome. Replacing batteries is a waste and a pain. Go simple. I love the band and wish the body of the watch were less shiny and smoother edged. Room for improvement on the case. Nowhere else.

Love the watch. Received it promptly with no hassles. Keeps great time. Love the look of the watch and how it fits. Looks great and really shines. As stated by pretty much everyone...the date is small. My vision is great and it still gives me fits to read. Goes with my work attire and doubles with my "smart casual" after-work wardrobe. Would recommend. One of the "place holders" for the end of the strap does creep around the watch some, though.

The watch arrived fast, packaged well. Zappos is a great company to purchase from. Love the watch itself. Was looking for something casual, but sharp, that I could wear to the beach or just out and about.

Received this watch about 6 weeks ago and waited to wear it a few times before my review. Excellent watch. It is very stylish and functional once you figure out how to set the time/date/year. That's my only gripe with the watch, the poor instruction manual. However, it comes with a instructional DVD and I recommend using that to set up the watch. Once it is set it is an awesome watch. It has a perpetual calendar so it counts leap years. It also utilizes the Citizen Eco-Drive system so you never need a battery. Brilliant. So far no scratches on either the bracelet and the watch face. A definite must buy in my book. I look forward to purchasing more Citizen watches in the future. Ecodrive is awesome. The band is solid. We sized it ourselves at home. It seems like a solid watch so far. The biggest pain was setting the date. The crown only moves the hour hand (not the date). You must manually wind the hour hand a few times to get the hands to move one hour... Multiplied by 24 hours to get the the date to move 1 Day. And if you happen to be setting the date in the middle of the month it will take you at least 10 minutes of non-stop winding. On the up side i found out how tough the mechanism is after setting the date. You're best off waiting until the date thats on the watch when you unpack it to set it up.

I picked this up from Amazon a couple years ago. I was looking for a durable watch that didn't have so much contrast. Big bright watch faces are distracting but they make up most of the options out there. This one fit my requirements perfectly. The leather-backed canvas band is very comfortable after just a few days of break-in. The watch face uses big clear figures so it's easy to read...only when you need to. It's a relatively large, weighty piece but not so much that it's uncomfortable. From a purely stylistic standpoint, this thing looks awesome! Many people have stopped me to ask where I found it. A friend of mine refers to it as the "Batman watch" which perfectly sums up its persona. My only complaint is that the luminescence on the hands and four numerals is rather dim and doesn't hold up long out of the light. After being in good sunlight, it's pretty bright for a short amount of time but, it's pretty useless after about 15 minutes out of light.

I love this watch. I've owned it for over two years and it has continued to be my favorite daily watch. It's not overbearing and goes well with many different outfits.

Really great watch! Has a very classy and dressy look to it, while still having enough pizazz to be worn as a casual watch. Great all around watch. And yes...the E6B bezel is wicked slick and works great!

My husband really loves this. It stays powered without batteries and it glows in the dark. He is wearing it when we go camping and kayaking. The only con for him is that the face is so big. But since we are getting older it's good because he can see the numbers better! This is his second Citizens and they both are great.

Watch was even nicer than it looks. Price was significantly less than anywhere else. Ordering was fast and easy, shipment arrived faster than expected. I could not be happier.

I love, love, love, my new watch! Before making this big purchase I went back and forth w/a Zappos team member just making sure this was the watch for me. The size wasn't exactly to my liking but after contacting Citizen through their customer service department I found out that they send out 3 complementary links. I was truly one happy camper after I found that out b/c I love things to be loose and comfy. The Zappos team were VERY helpful in giving me all the info I needed to make this purchase through them. I love Zappos and I wish that I could buy EVERYTHING at Zappos! After I got the watch I waited for my extra links and took the watch to a local jewelry store and now the watch fits exactly the way I like :]

This watch is stunning. Just received it today and I could not be happier. Keep in mind ladies that the face of the watch is quite large and a bit heavy but this is the style now and this timepiece is magnificent. Highly recommend.

Really nice basic watch, this watch only has the basic functions & is what I was looking for. The watch is sleek and light which is nice so no parts catch on things like clothing. My hubby really likes the Eco drive, no more batteries to buy or have changed.

Nice watch and keeps time perfectly against my other devices (computer, phone, etc.). Haven't tested it in the water as of yet. A bit heavy, but got accustomed to it quickly.

This is my second Citizen timepiece. I love that I never have to change a battery due to the Eco-Drive Technology. The face of this watch is large and the time is easy to read. My father-in-law liked my watch so much, he bought one for himself! This is a sure-bet watch!

What's there to say? I mean, look at it. It's gorgeous. I bought it for myself for Christmas, and it's by far the best gift I got. I've had tons of compliments on it. It looks far more expensive than it is, looks great dressed up, or with jeans. I love that I never have to wind it, or think about a battery. I have a sportier watch for working out etc, but aside from that, this watch is part of my permanent wardrobe.

I really like the way this watch looks on my wrist. It is comfortable and feels good. The band is somewhat stiff when you first get it but it does seem to be breaking in and softening up a little. The one knock I would give it is the loops that keep the band are picking up a grungy look, nothing too severe but it is changing just the same. As much as I love the orange that one item makes me wish I had gone with a different color.

My husband is delighted with his new watch. He loves the fact that he never has to wind it or change a battery. He also likes the band and the fact that the watch is luminous. We have not gone to the beach or pool yet, but have read all the instructions to make sure it is water-resistant.

I am giving this watch per se 4 stars; however, we will be returning it, as the description says 37 mm when in fact the watch face is more like 42.5 to 43 mm and is too big for my husband's liking. The watch itself is very attractive and lightweight, though. I should also note, my husband found the date difficult to read due to the lack of contrast between the background and the number.
