The shaft of the boot does not have enough structure to stand up by itself. So it slides down too easily when I put it on and looks sloppy on me. Though the rest of the boot style is very cool. True to size.

CUTE and comfy, slimming - When you were a little kid and brand new shoes were a rare treat, did you ever get a pair and like them so much you didn't want to take them off and you wanted to wear them to bed? This pair reminds me of that feeling. The picture doesn't do these justice. I liked the "wing tip" shoe look, which is why I bought them. They look so good on! They make my calves look skinny (good thing), and my calves definitely are not skinny. I like them so much, I hate to hide them under pants! I am petite, but they're not too terribly tall for me. They stretch very comfortably over my calves. Great go-with-anything boot.

Large for a small calf - I have skinny legs and was hoping the calf on these boots would be "hugging" the legs. But it turns out these only hug a bigger calf. My calf stays in the middle, does not feel any "hug" from the shaft. These make me keep thinking the shalt is going to slide down, even though they do not really slide down...

NOT Leather... I ordered these boots because I've been looking for fitted boots that I don't swim in and these have a 13 1/2 inch circumference, which is narrower than most. The boots sag around my ankle as the material is pretty lightweight. Overall, the style looks nice and they are comfortable, but not right for me. I'm 5'5" and have a slim build - I don't know why it is such an ordeal to find a pair of basic black leather boots that don't look like galoshes on me.

Very comfortable, classic style - These boots feel tight when you first try them on, but the leather is soft so they wear in easily. Also, good arch support. Great value for a simple classic boot.
