This shoe takes a little while to break in but after you do they are pretty comfortable. The rubber toe (top and front) are good for bike clips. The material is pretty durable and has stayed pretty clean. It is not waterproof, but you can bike through a pretty bad downpour and your socks will be dry, although the shoe will be really wet and will need to dry. Unfortunately, despite really wanting to love these shoes, there are major drawbacks. Firstly, the heel is wearing out way to fast for such a pricey shoe. Secondly, there is no loop for the laces to prevent them from being caught in the pedal as the description claims. That is a pretty important for bike shoes. Lastly, Chrome is very popular with the hipsters (I found this out after I bought the shoes) so now I look like the people I hate.

For now, I can't say that I've liked these shoes. It seemed like a good idea, and I can't find anybody else who is making a shoe that bridges the gap between clipples peddals and toe clips, but the execution is lacking for this product. As others have said, this shoe is quite uncomfortable to walk in, to the point that I'd worry about doing permanent damage to my feet and legs if I wore them for too long. On top of that, the fabric of the shoe itself is rather flexible, which allows your foot to move around a fair bit when riding, destroying any advantage you get from the rigid sole. My disclaimer, however, is that my foot is rather low, so I might be able to get a better fit with some extra arch support and tounge padding. However, as this shoe will only really be useful for long rides and not for everyday life, I can't say that I'm jumping to get them working perfectly.

Similar to Chucks, though the canvas material is much beefier (as is the sole). I suspect these will hold up much better than Chucks. All things considered, they're comfortable enough for what they are, and they look damn good.

I had these for a few years and now I'm replacing them. The size 11 chrome Kursk did not have the red trim at the seamline and toe box as shown in photo. This was a part of my previous model. Not these though...bummer - that was half the style.

Looks great, but the upper material is very stiff and the sole is a little rigid, so not real comfortable right out of the box. But the quality of construction is very good. It more of a work shoe and has softened up with some wear.

I spend about 10 hours a week on my bike commuting to and from work, and these shoes have been a lifesaver. The stiffness of the shoes makes them great while on the bike but causes some discomfort while breaking them in. However, they're pretty darn comfortable after a few weeks' wear. Highly recommended!

As a bartender and a cyclist, I can grind a pair of high-quality shoes to dust in three months. I replace shoes more often than most because of a tendency to be a little pigeon-toed in worn-out, crappy shoes. I was tired of buying Keen, which were bulky and only lasted about 7 months. To look at them, I sighed and resigned myself to having expensive, cool looking sneakers that would self-destruct in 2 months. I was pleased to find they were comfortable out of the box even for my slightly wide feet (probably because they're unisexy). I'm on month 8 of 12 hour days on my feet -- the heel is holding up brilliantly, the insert looks brand-new. I did manage to scuff some of the rubber rim off the toe but this happens with every shoe I own. The "propulsion plate" is a marketing ploy, surely, stiff soles only help when it would stiffen the joint at the ball of your foot, but hasn't made a difference in the comfort of the shoe. I'm about to take these on a 1100 mile cycling tour because they'll stand up to it. I'll definitely buy these again. A lot of these. Eventually, when they wear out.
