The design on it is a stitch design, so if you are expecting lace or something on that order, that's not it. I think it adds a little something to the shoe itself, without being crazy. I will say I wore these to a wedding, and was surprised that I got through the whole night without wanting to kill myself! They also look cute with a pair of jeans, so dress up or dress down, whichever you like.

The small lace in the picture is extremely tacky and much thicker in real life. Does not look professional or even fun: it looks flat out trashy. Had to return.
