I would have never considered a powered knife sharpener but after speaking with a friend of mine and reading the reviews I decided on this one. It does an excellent job sharpening knives and even my Shun knives. A dull knife is a dangerous knife and this will fix it. My only complaint is that I can't find the owners manual online after my dog ate the manual. This needs to be corrected.
