This sharpening station works like a dream. The step by step instructions helped me become comfortable with the machine. The first slot is the only one that uses power and does it ever hone a new edge! The finishing slots hold the blade in the perfect position. You do have to be careful of the newly sharpened blade, it is that sharp!

I am pleased with this product. It will take a while to become proficient at achieving the levels of sharpness that are promised. My first attempts have been better than any other sharpener I have used. I found the instructions a bit unclear as to when and why each of the different sharpening sequences should be used. I have yet to achieve the type of edge demonstrated in the video and my blades do not slice effortlessly through a sheet of paper as indicated. I hope this will improve with practice as this unit was rather expensive for a home application. I am expecting it to deliver as advertised. Zappos was terrific and surprised me with overnight delivery. I wish they sold everything that I purchase!
