I bought this scale to weigh coffee in grams then weigh as I brewed my coffee adding in the water in oz with my Chemex. I would like to say this scale isn't ideal for weighing coffee, if this is your intention. It seems to be accurate with its measurements but it "sleeps" every 30 seconds and if you do not add more weight or use the "tare" it will completely shut off. While this may be good for those who are forgetful, it doesn't work well if you need to keep it on for longer than 30 seconds and since the tare is also the "power switch" if you click on the power button and it wasn't fully asleep it automatically tares.
