These are hot! This boots are made for walking! I have athletic calves that are not skinny at all. They fit just fine and are gorgeous. Do not hesitate on ordering these! You will love them.

The boots are gorgeous, but unfortunately they are constructed in such way that you have to stand on your toes, not heels, basically no arch support. That's a shame. If you still decide to try them, make sure you are at least 5'7"; they are high.

Great boots! I bought these in brown. I looked all over for the right height heel and color combination. I can either dress them up or they look great with a pair of jeans. I have gotten so many compliments on them. The quality of these boots are top notch, the leather is beautiful and looks expensive, they are worth the price. The only drawback was that they only come in whole sizes. I am a true 6 1/2, and ordered the 6 the first time around. They were to small so I had to go to a 7, so they're a little roomy but worth it.

Beautiful plus winter practicality, if you wear heels or want to. Easy step-into-style. Firm leather stands up on its own, no slouch or sag. Stays on well, not slipping. The thick leather makes me think these wont get damaged by the chronic chemicals on city sidewalks. Hard to find this 'old school' substantial leather. I got my normal size, room for thicker socks or not. And I need a little more width and got it. This style is normally a few hundred more. Nice. Look sharp, make size 9 look like a 6, with comfort, use, and low-key bling.

Beautiful shoes; however, if you do not desire to feel like you are walking on two blocks of wood these shoes are not for you. They are really uncomfortable. I would suggest getting gel insoles for these, which tend to help a bit.

This boot is really cute, much cuter than the picture. But try as I might could not get my foot past the ankle, very poorly designed. They should have put in a side zipper. The inside is suede and that makes it even harder to slide your foot past. Good looking boot, but back they go.

I'm not usually one to pay more than $100 for a pair of shoes (or even $50), but these were exactly what I've been looking for! Since switching from gutterpunk to professional in my attire 3 years ago, I've been on the lookout for office appropriate foot wear. I usually prefer classic styles or men's wear inspired styles like penny loafers and the like, and I wanted something with that dorkycute little fringe detail on the top. Problem was that every shoe I've found that fit that criteria also always had at least one (if not multiple) fugly factor. Bad heel shape, weird material etc. And then I saw these! (Imagine a light shining down from parted clouds.) The leather is a nice rich mahogany and the snake skin trim adds a fashionable edge without being too much, being slightly more subtle in person when the shoes are worn than in the picture. I read reviews of Charles David online that frequently stated their shoes run small so I ordered a size 9 (I am an 8-9 depending), but found that in this particular style I needed a size 8. I haven't been able to bring myself to pull them down off their pedestal and force them to run through the walkability gauntlet, so I can't tell you if they'll wear holes in your heel or break your toes or disintegrate on the pavement, but they have been comfortable around the house and they don't seem like they'll do any of those terrible things. And besides, they're beautiful, so who cares? Ah, just businesslike enough for the office, a touch of old school geek, and stripperish enough to allow me to feel right at home in them. What more could a girl ask for? Oh, and did I mention, they smell really great when you take them out of the box.

Very high heel. These shoes fit well, and are gorgeous, but the heel height is a bit much for me. Either I practice my catwalk so I don't fall down, or find something easier.

I wrote my review without even wearing the boot, let me tell you I have worn it all day today, I don\'t even want to take it off! Extremely comfortable, I did in fact get several compliments on it. One most outstanding boot!

Meh. I had to try a couple different sizes of this shoe and they still don't fit right. I typically don't experience a problem with feeling one foot bigger than the other so maybe the production of the shoe is off. It could still just be me, though. I can usually handle heels fairly decently; however, I do have flat feet. The boot felt entirely too tight, didn't permit enough movement and was generally uncomfortable. Still not sure I can send 'em back though. I keep thinking "some day."

Awesome riding boot. I just received this boot today; this has to be the coolest boot I have ever seen! I can't wait to start wearing it, I know I will get tons of compliments on it. The fit is true to size. The inside is soft and cushioned. If you are looking for a rugged riding boot that looks expensive and different, this is it! I am 5'3" the shaft height is perfect. I have muscular legs and it is a perfect fit, not tight or loose. I love it! It is worth the spend.

Beautiful boot. Wear a 6 1/2 ordered 7 and it felt 1/2 larger on the foot and a tad big around the ankle and calf. Had to regretfully return them. To expensive to keep if they did not fit my skinny legs properly.

I was disappointed with these boots. Though I like the concept of the style, I thought the hand-rubbed color dye was unappealing. The shaft was not a rich gray, but a rather cheap looking pseudo-metallic look. I also thought the foot bed should have more cushioning for a boot at this price. I usually wear a size 10, but they were out of stock, so I tried an 11. It fit me almost perfectly, so I think the size runs a bit small. It may be wise to order a half size up.

Love these shoes. I got them in camel kid. They are well made. They make your ankles look petite. Sexy without looking trashy. Comfortable considering they are 4" high. Would not wear them in bad weather, leather is too fine.

Where do I begin? These boots are a dream. They are BEAUTIFUL and COMFORTABLE. I have Skinny legs and they fit me perfect. I could run in boots. I have just enough space for leggings not jeans. Unless you have very thin jeans then maybe. I don\'t have a 14 inch calf. My calf only measures 13 inches and the fit is like a glove. No bunching in the ankles. Maybe the measurement listed is a tiny bit off. Like 1/2 inch. But we all know how important half an inch can be in boots. I have NEVER paid this much for boots in my life but I feel it is worth every penny. Sleek and simple with a platform. Perfect:)

Gorgeous. Even better in person. Quality leather and nice details. These look more expensive than they are. Perfect with skinny jeans and and/or leggings. The heel is definitely for those who are used to a high heel. I'm using gel insoles and that helps the ball of my foot. I wouldn't walk around the mall in these. I am always a size 7 and that's what I ordered and they fit perfectly, so I say they are true to size. Absolutely stunning, truly gorgeous shoe.

Great looking shoe, but hard on the feet. I wore these to an outdoor wedding and standing on the concrete was pretty painful after not too much time. I\'m used to wearing high platforms and these just weren\'t as comfortable as most. Maybe indoors they would do better?

True to style; not true to size! Zappos shipping is quick and painless. The shoes are almost picture perfect! But the fit is not! The shoes are like a "Betty Boop" design so they run short at the front (toe), very snug. They are quite tall but sturdy. I strongly suggest you order at most a 1/2 size larger; (ex.) 8.5 should order a size 9. I hope that helps.

These are great shoes! They fit true to size and since the heel isn\'t a stiletto, these are pretty comfy while adding great height. Pretty classic yet a bit edgy because of the straps, these are trendy without being too "of the moment" as they don\'t overdo the straps and head into the "bondage shoe" territory. Charles David always makes great shoes and these are no exception! Guys love them and the feet do too! As always, the Zappos ordering/shipping experience was awesome and I will always come back!
