Had an old Chantal classic teakettle. Purchased an induction stove. Old teakettle did not work. Purchased new one. Not only looks great, but works beautifully. Harmonics aren\'t as good as on my old kettle, but still much more pleasant than other kettles on the market. As for a hot handle. Not with the old, and not with the new. A non-issue unless of course you\'re boiling water overly long or with the lid off.

Love this teakettle! After at least 7 years of daily use, it remains in excellent condition. Easy to clean, maintains its shine and looks new. Lovely (but attention getting) harmonica sound alerts you when the boiling point is reached. Am ordering a second one as a backup in case this one ever wears out.

I've owned three of these beautifully designed tea kettles. The harmonica whistle stopped working after a few weeks, and I have burnt out the bottom twice. Will not buy again!

You have got to be kidding me...this much? For a tea kettle? It boils water like any other kettle, looks nice while it is doing it, but you need to use a pot holder to take it off of the stove because it has a metal handle. It works just fine but it is way too expensive and not worth the price.

The handle stays cool. I'm not sure why it does but it does. The best thing about this tea kettle is its overall good looks and its whistle. After many years of daily use, the whistle may give out. You can order a replacement whistle. The pot lasts forever.

I'm very pleased with this teakettle and recommend it to anyone looking for a whistling teakettle. I'm using it daily on an electric range and haven't had the handle get hot enough to need the included mitt. Water comes to a boil quickly (much faster than using a regular pot) & the harmonica whistle is less jarring than a standard kettle though it is still quite loud. The kettle pours nicely with no dribbling or splashing. Overall the product is well built and sturdy. I wanted the stainless steel version, but settled for this one since Zappos didn't carry the stainless steel. I don't regret settling for the enameled version as I like the extra touch of color it brings to my kitchen.
