I was surprised to see that the hoops were wrapped with string. I had high hopes for these earrings but know that I will get them dirty if I keep them so I sent them back. They are also extremely long and the dangles were resting on my shoulders so they couldn't swing as I would have liked. Pretty to look at, but not practical for me.
