Product Information:
  • This double strap configuration provides an extra level of comfort, especially for those with irregular foot shapes.
  • Soft polyester webbing dries faster than nylon and maintains a consistent fit in all conditions.
  • Chaco's original pull-through strap system provides complete adjustability, while eliminating the bulk and stiffness of overlapping hook-and-loop closures.
  • New lighter PU formulation makes this sandal as light as competitive products made with less durable EVA.
  • Anatomic strap placement cradles the foot at the first and fifth metatarsal bones for biomechanical comfort.
  • Narrower, double straps create a comfortable basket weave that delivers secure support and comfort.
  • Construction guarantees a long-term relationship and eases environmental stress when re-soled.
  • Chaco BioCentric™ footbed, in two widths, provides all-day comfort and controls pronation.
  • Chaco's taken the most intelligent features from their Colorado and Terreno soles and built them into the new Unaweep hybrid. Lug pattern and spacing make this sole virtually self-cleaning, and with Vibram® durability, the Unaweep is ready for the trail; sand, stone, or submerged.
  • BioCentric™ footbed:
  • Aggressive arch support controls pronation.
  • Sculpted heel cup centers the foot's natural shock absorbing pad under the heel bone.
  • Heel riser increases lateral stability.
  • Multiple widths ensure a proper fit.

I love these shoes. They are just what I hoped for. Excellent arch support. Sad I can\'t wear them right now, because another pair of shoes gave me a blister on my heel. Love \'em. Wear \'em all the time. And they\'re cuter than the average Chaco.

A client of mine was wearing her Chaco ZX/2 Unaweeps and they looked great. I was looking for some walking sandals, she told me she wore these shoes for hiking, 4 mile daily walks, everything. So I ordered a pair and I really like them. I took them on a trip to New Mexico, wore them all the time, and my feet were comfortable. It took a little effort to get the straps placed just right, but that's really not a big deal. You just have to spend some time fiddling with the straps until they feel right.

I couldn't decide if I wanted the Z/1 or the ZX/2. I finally decided on the ZX/2. I'm very happy with my choice. The whole idea of these sandals was to have something that will stay on my feet in the water. Having my big toe tied down gives more security in the water. The double strap is very cute and it's easy to adjust the fit if you just practice a few times. I have also worn them in the office as a slide with the back-strap tucked under my foot like the Chaco Zong (quick on and off at my desk) or with my big toe on top of the toe strap so it's more like the Chaco ZX/1. I've been thinking about getting some Injinji Split Toe socks to extend the season length that I can wear my Chacos. I really like the scandals and I love Zappos.com!

This is my third pair of Chacos sandals this year -- because my dogs like them as much as I do, and keep chewing them up. But they are so comfortable, I keep coming back. This time, I\'m committed to keeping them on my feet or in my closet.

I have wide feet and a high arch. These sandals are awesome. The straps adjust, the soles are cushiony, and I received lots of compliments. I wear them on land, in the lake, at the beach. Just wash with soap and water. I'm buying some more - I can wear all day with no discomfort at all.

These are great if you usually use an orthotic. I have collapsing arches and am prone to plantar fasciitis...so I wear a custom orthotic every day. Since it's almost impossible to find a sandal that takes an orthotic (since Bite went out of business), I was really happy to find that these were supportive enough. I feel the toe strap helps keep the sandal bed closer to your foot and provides better support. That said you do have to adjust it occasionally. I basically only wear these or sneakers now.

I bought these sandals about 2 weeks ago. It's more than I've ever spent on sandals but I have tailor's bunions and I'm on my feet at work all day and I walk everywhere so I thought I should make the investment for the good of my dogs. The first two days I wore them they were terribly uncomfortable. The toe strap continually strangled my big toe and I was constantly taking them off and readjusting. The pain got so bad that I had to take a break from them. Even when I wasn't wearing them the pain was awful, the bottoms of my feet hurt/burned as if I had been walking on nails and hot coals. Once my feet no longer ached I put the sandals back on and they've been fine ever since. I've now been wearing them for 5 days straight with no issues at all. And I am literally on my feet and walking back and forth ALL DAY. I highly recommend them.

I got these Chacos & they’re great. It took me a while to get the straps adjusted just right, but once I got the right fit they were great! If I had to choose again, I would get ones that didn't have a toe strap because it is pretty uncomfortable, but it's nothing I can't live with. Overall, a great fit and great feel. I can't wait to wear them kayaking!

I have super flat skinny feet and these chaco's made my feet hurt for the first day. After a 3 day music festival they were nice and worn in and now I don't think I ever want to wear any other shoes. A tiny blister and a little soreness are definitely worth the chaco experience.

I walked 9 miles in these while pushing a stroller. Totally comfortable. Does that say enough? :) I've had these since the summer of '07 and as soon as the weather gets warm enough they are on my feet: with jeans, khakis, shorts, even with my business casual pants at work. My sneakers are now strictly for running. The straps can be adjusted in a few different spots around your foot, and I think having the toe strap as well as a heel strap make them feel very securely attached. These can get wet and they air dry quickly. Also a plus when you need to spray them down or wash them. From what I understand, they are also vegan? :) I’ve never spent this much on sandals before, and yet not ONCE have I regretted the purchase.

Awesome sandals! I love these sandals! I don't know what most people are talking about when they say the toe strap cuts off circulation, mine fit perfectly! Give these shoes a try. You will not be disappointed!

I more than love these sandals. Due to their comfortable support I'm able to walk and stand longer. I have narrow feet and chronic foot and ankle problems. These shoes relieve many of my symptoms and have changed my life. (On top of that they're cute.) I can't say enough good about them!!

Fantastic sandal!! Love, love, love these sandals! They were comfortable right away - required no breaking in time. I wear a 9-9 1/2 regular shoe, but ordered the size 9 wide in these, since some regular shoes tend to feel tight at times across my feet. My daughter had recommended these, and now my son is purchasing a pair also.

Toe problem - These were great - except that they strangled my toe. The straps kept on getting tighter as I walked, and it was just impossible to wear them. On the upside, the people at Chaco's were great about this - apparently it's a problem they've encountered before. First they tried to repair the shoes (they have some standard procedure that they say usually works), and when that didn't work they sent me a pair of the basic style (Z/1 or whatever) and they are great. No charge (except what I paid to send the shoes back to them).

I'm going to buy another pair - I love this sandal. I prefer a very functional sandal that I can run, hike, boat, whatever in and the fact that it leaves a cool tan line is just a bonus. I prefer the over the toe, over the heel design and this has been comfortable since day one. I've worn it non-stop since it arrived. I've been very active in these sandals and only once have I needed to adjust them. I love them and I'm buying another color of the same ones.

Great Walking Sandals - I bought these sandals to walk my dogs and hike in the summer months. They are very comfortable, and because they have the ability to conform directly to your feet, they stay very comfortable for a long time. I have seen many of my friends use them for kayaking, though I haven't been out yet this year to try them out.

LOVE! I bought my first pair of Chacos after a friend recommended them to me to replace my old Birkenstocks. I can't imagine wearing anything else. I imagine myself becoming one of those people who wears sandals in the snow. Caution: No half sizes. I normally wear a 7.5 but the 7 fit great. They are narrow. I was surprised to find the wide fit better.

Amazing Fit! I had tried the Ecco Yucatan before this, but I have a small foot, and the "comfort" brands always tend to be too wide. The Chaco has amazing adjustability - it takes some work, but it's worth it. The footbed is a dream - fabulous arch support and heel comfort. The straps may look flimsy, but again - amazing firmness! And NO VELCRO - which is always a good thing. These are very cool looking sandals.

So far ... great - My niece convinced me to try these sandals. I don't usually like things between my toes, but am planning a trip to SE Asia and needed something cool and comfortable for my constantly aching feet. I wore them to work two days in a row, and they were very comfortable. I need to practice adjusting them more to give me more room in the toe, but I really like these sandals!

Ouch! Mine looked great, but the heel was way too small, and I have pretty thin feet. The two sides where the straps attached to the shoe were too thin and dug into my feet. Caution future Chaco buyers.
