  • Narrower, double straps create a comfortable basket weave that delivers secure support and comfort.

I ordered these for a trip to Vietnam and Cambodia where I knew I would be doing a lot of walking. I intended to wear them a bit beforehand; well you know about good intentions, that didn't happen. They were great I never had sore feet or the hint of a blister and I walked and walked in them. Up and down the steep stone steps of the temples in Siem Reap, Cambodia, the streets of Saigon aka Ho Chi Minh City and the beautiful island of Phu Quok. My only advice is to not order the next size up if you are in between sizes. I read this after ordering a size down and they fit perfectly. They have a lot of adjustments. Cheers and happy walking.

My husband raised his eyebrows when he saw how much these sandals cost, but I have to say they were worth every penny! I bought them for a trip to Thailand that involved a lot of walking. I brought other shoes too, but ended up wearing these babies every day instead. So comfortable (once you get the strapping system figured out for your feet) and cute. I really really like them. Not quite as clunky as some of my other walking sandals. I got lots of compliments on them.

I own several pairs of Chacos, as does my husband. Size 8 fits my 8 to 8-1/2 foot perfect. They're so comfortable, I forget they're on my feet! Every year I purchase at least 1 pair in a new color/design. Zappos rocks! You can't beat anything about them. Awesome delivery time, great return policy. Try Zappos (and Chacos); you'll love them!

I have never bought any shoes this expensive, I've been wearing Tevas for years, but these Chacos were SO worth it. The arch support is the most excellent I have ever had. They have minimized my foot pain (bunions, I guess). The adjustable straps were a little tricky, but now I feel like these sandals were made especailly for my feet. How I wish all my shoes could be so comfortable. Highest recommendation.

I got these about a month ago. They were super comfy from the get go. I got a blister the first time I wore them, then realized I had them too tight. Now I wear them comfortably loose. I just went on a 4 day trip to Colorado and used these while hiking in Rocky Mountain National Park, and the entire weekend I was in Colorado. I absolutely loved them! Best sandals ever! If I could sleep in them, I probably would! They offer the best arch support of any sandal I have ever worn. So for someone with flat feet, these are perfect! I do not have wide feet by any means; however, for a more comfortable fit, I bought the wide. I also wear a 10.5, and sized down to a 10 and they fit perfect!

Best shoes for summer - I originally bought these with the help of Zappos' outdoor shoe advisors for a trip to Australia where we'd be walking on various types of terrain. They were perfect for that trip- tough, sturdy, comfortable and pretty cute for athletic sandals. Now I'm back home in New York City and still love them. They are not soft and cushy, but so comfortable and perfect for the beach, the city - anywhere. I have bunions, too, and the way you can adjust them insures they are never hitting anything painful. I would recommend these to anyone!

These sandals are great, especially if you wear orthotics and need arch support. I have a collapsing arch due to too many sports injuries and have been going crazy unable to wear sandals when my physical therapist told me about these. They are great; a little tricky to adjust the straps at first but read the "how to" on the box and you'll do just fine. The strap below the buckle is a little long, but a cobbler can fix you right up! I'm looking forward to trying Chaco shoes and boots. Zappos was great as usual, too! You won't be disappointed.

Really wanted to like these, but regret the purchase. I first ordered a size 9 and couldn't get it to fit comfortably so I tried the 9 wide (I'm not usually a wide). These are also not fitting correctly. If I get the straps on my feet to fit correctly, the back strap that wraps the heel is still too big (not adjustable) and my shoes smack against my feet as if I am wearing flip flops (drives me crazy). I got the straps fitting somewhat okay (after an hour) and after camping where the shoes got wet and dry a few times I had to re-adjust the straps, which took another hour. I honestly think the pull through straps area is a good idea in theory, but for me they are a nightmare. I can't seem to ever get them right and when I do they become ill fitting again after just a little walking. Tevas are MUCH better. Oh, had a great experience with Zappos customer service on the original exchange...

I have very wide feet and wear anything from a 7.5 to a 9 to get enough width. I tried an 8 wide in these and found them to be super comfortable until my foot started sliding and I got terrible, terrible blisters. No amount of strap adjusting would help. So half sizes should consider sizing down or at least wearing them around the house for a long, long time before deciding to keep them. I'm a bit afraid to try the smaller size. It's a shame because the arch support really is incredible.

The concept sounded phenomenal. The reality was a nightmare! I wear an 11 4A sized shoe and I live in adjustable athletic sandals during the summer. For years I’ve worn Tevas, but after a few summers of watching people wearing daintier looking Chacos, I decided to give them a try. They look adorable and are comfy. The HUGE problem I had is that the adjustable straps didn’t lock in place once I had adjusted them to suit my super narrow/skinny needs. As I walked, they got tighter around the toes. I gave them about 6 long & short walks with the same result each time. Their last chance was 7 days ago. They caused so much damage to my left foot that I’m currently wearing an extra-large bandage to cover the area when I must wear shoes.

These are the best shoes on the face of the planet! I’ve had a pair of hipthongs for a couple of years, and they’re okay, but these are perfect. The soles are great in the river. We walked forever at a three day music festival and my feet felt great! I went down from a 9 (which is what my hipthongs are) to an 8 wide, and the fit is absolutely perfect. Get these shoes!!!

I am glad I tried these sandals. If you wear an orthotic these are the sandals for you--they offer excellent arch support. The orthotic is built into the sandal. I was having a major problem with plantar fasciitis and dreaded not being able to wear sandals this summer. It took my feet a while to get used to them and I recommend wearing these for short periods and gradually extending the time. I am now wearing them on a regular basis and my heel pain has really diminished.

Shoe Size: Felt a half size larger than marked Shoe Arch: Excellent arch support Shoe Width: Felt true to width
Weird fit for Wide feet - These are comfortable. The have not given me blisters in miles of walking. I like the textured footbed - my feet feel great after wearing them. If, however, you, like me, suffer from the combination of wide feet and high arches, the fit leaves a little to be desired. Size 8 was the perfect length for me, but 8 Wide is a bit too long for some reason, making the shoe look clunkier than normal. It is clearly a manufacturing issue - why does wider necessarily suggest longer?

I love Chacos - I bought my first pair of Chacos in 2000. I wore them until last year. I could've had them resoled, but wore them until there was a hole. As soon as these new ones were on my feet, I was so happy. They are made for my feet. I wear them as early in the spring as I can until as late in the fall as possible.

Beware - I had high hopes for these sandals. They provided excellent support. But...the footbed is very rough. After about a day of walking in NYC in these, I got huge blisters on the soles of my feet. I was in so much pain. These may be better suited for nature/water uses.

Perfect walking sandal - These sandals are perfect for people with high arches. They also work for narrow feet since you can adjust the straps to fit your foot exactly. I highly recommend them.

LOVE THEM - These babies took me all around Europe and back!! I couldn't ask for a better shoe-- they give my weak ankles the support in the heel that I need, they're cute, spunky, the tread is great and they last a long time. I didn't know you can send them back to the company to have them resoled, so next time that's what I'll do! These are a must have!

I love these! This is the perfect sandal for me; fantastic support in just the right places, cute straps (not too athletic looking), comfort the whole day long. I can walk a mile in them and still have happy feet. If I could afford it, I'd buy 6 more pairs!
