This is my first pair of Chacos and so far I'm very happy with these sandals. Adjusting the straps took some practice but once I got them right, they fit great. I wear orthotics so the arch support in these sandals is just what I need. I also realized I needed a wide after trying on the first pair I ordered. As always, Zappos customer service was fantastic and the exchange process was seamless.

Fortunately I have a pair that was made before they were bought out and changed materials. After struggling with periodic hip pain, I figured out it's due to my new pairs of Chacos. They're not as supportive as the pair I got in 2008. The sole on the old pair is a denser rubber that gives a bit gives enough support. Now that I've stopped wearing the new Chacos, no more hip pain. Unfortunately, the old footbed is no longer available even directly from the company in Colorado, so I'll have to keep resoling my one old pair. If they work for you great, but if you usually need orthotics and have a pair that's more than 3 years, you may want to have them re-chaco'd instead of spending more money for an inferior version.

The shoes are cool - I've seen people wearing these shoes at summer camp and places like that so I decided to buy some. They aren't as comfortable as I thought they would be and they are a little heavy. I do like the way they look though.

My new Chaco's! Its taken time to get used to it-- the sole is very, very hard and I have tender feet-- but I think I'm getting used to it. The straps are a bit to get used to as well--

I purchased my first pair of Chacos this spring and wore them all summer! Loved the fit, arch support, color - chili, and my feet felt great! I have suffered with numerous foot problems but will wear Chacos the rest of my life. Get a pair and see for yourself!

Liked the shoe, only problem the between the toe strap was uncomfortable. I ordered another style of Chaco without the toe strap.
