Amazing sandal. So comfortable, and it has amazing arch support. I can't wait to get home after work, or after a run, so I can put them on. My feet crave them! I wish the mychaco.com site was up before I bought these so I could have designed my own.

If you have bunions and plantar fascia, the Chaco Z1 sandal is for you. None of the other Chaco sandals have the Z1 arch support, so don't try any other if your plantar fascia bothers you.

Second pair of Chacos. These are more comfortable than my first pair. I believe the new wide width size helped create a better fit. My only complaint is that I wish they were lighter.

Preface: I have been wearing an old pair of z/2's with the toe loop on a regular basis for about 5 years. The toe loop was never comfortable, so when the sole started to separate I broke down and bought a pair of z/1's with the Yampa sole. First, I noticed that these are no longer made in Colorado. They moved to China. However, it doesn't seem to have changed the quality much. Actually the new ones are more comfortable and lighter. The are using a new midsole material which is spongier. Might not last as long though. So overall these are still great sandals, but I can't figure out why I still have to pay this much when they are made in China.
I'd also recommend: Vere flip flops are made in USA

I've seen Chaco sandals on women and men and wanted to try them. This pair will make me re-think. The arch was strangely high, something I've never found in a sandal. The forefront band of the shoe did not feel like it would keep my foot on the footbed.
I'd also recommend: Asolo (buy small men's sizes), Merrill, Ecco
