I didn't know this, but apparently the Chaco Yampa sandals are more for water sports than hiking as they have a lighter and thinner sole. I do love the sole, but I was hoping that Chaco had made the straps slightly softer so that they didn't dig into my skin. No such luck. Am returning them. It's a bummer, as I love the arch support and the face that they come in a wide width.

Like these sandals because of the huge arch support and available in wide widths, but there was not enough strap for my top of my foot. When my feet swell, I can't wear them.

Wore them on a trip right out of the box, even hiked Diamond Head! I normally wear a 7.5, sometimes an 8 but the 7 fit well in this shoe. I also tried the one with the double straps and around the toe but couldn't get them comfortable.

A friend suggested that I try a pair of Chaco sandals as I was having feet and leg problems. I wear a wide so I was a little hesitant to try but finally gave in when she told me they came in a wide. I have a very wide foot and a normal heel. I ordered a size 8 as I usually can wear an 8 when the shoe is wide and open toed. I wear a size 9 wide in Asics running shoes. I had to return the the size 8 wide Chacos because when my foot was in correctly, heel at the back and arch in place, I had about an inch of shoe showing above my toe. Looked to long and felt too long. Usually in a flip flop it doesn't bother me because the the front and back of shoe split the difference in the extra length but with the Chaco it wasn't going to work. Sent the sandal back and reordered a size 7 wide and it is perfect. When standing my big toe is at the end but not hanging off. Makes my wide foot at least look shorter. I haven't worn them out anywhere as they just came yesterday but I have been wearing them in the house as my leg pain has gotten worse and so far the arch support is helping. I am a flip flop sandal girl so I having been wearing flat shoes too long. I think I will even try exercise in the Chaco and see if I have less pain. I just wish Chaco would offer some of the cuter colors and styles in a wide including their flip flops. Especially a solid brown would be great. Great service from Zappos as usual.

I love the Vibram Chacos. I have a heel spur, and this shoe is a life saver! I did notice there is a difference between the thickness of the soles of the men's compared to the women's shoe though. No complaints.

This is a great sandal. I wear them almost every day. I have chronic plantar fasciitis, and the arch support is great; there no need for my orthodics. It provides a fairly firm foot bed. The strap is too long and hits the ground a bit.

I love my chacos. Most comfortable shoes ever. I hike all day and my feet don't hurt. You can't beat them!

These are great looking sandals. Anything I say here won't be applicable anyone without narrow feet/heels. The B is wide in terms of the strap adjustments. I sure wish they came in half sizes. I like the shoe so well, though that I am going to make adjustments by cutting the strap and resewing the buckle on. That should fix it right up. And I do love the footbed of the Chaco sandals. I don't have to use my orthotics with them to get a great supportive footbed. I wore my last ones for years and years. Hope to do the same with these.

Just what you'd expect from a Chaco sandal, awesome. I've only used these once so far, but so far so good. I wore them out to a river and they were perfect for cliff jumping and crawling around over slippery rocks. I just wish Chaco sandals came in half sizes.

These are really nice, supportive shoes. The black straps look good and adjust. Unfortunately the toe band is too big even though my feet are medium width.

These sandals were the only footwear I had on a 10 day trip to Belize. I wore them all day every day through mud, ocean surf and sandy beach. They are sturdy and very comfortable. Highly recommend.

These are very nice sandals. It is almost impossible to find shoes with good arch support that do not have raised heels, and these are perfect. I go barefoot 90% of the time, so the immense heel thickness of normal hiking or running shoes feels awful. I first tried Chaco Pedsheds, but they were so stiff and hard that the heel would not stay on my foot. These take some doing to figure out whether you prefer the regular or wide width, but they are great!

I bought these shoes to kayak in. They are great. My feet aren't overly wide, but I'm glad I went with the wide width. They fit perfectly.

These sandals are great! I did have trouble with blisters at first from the waffle design on the foot base, but once they healed, the shoes fit great and are perfect for outdoor activity or just any day wear.

After a little breaking in, these sandals are great! I wore them all over India and my feet never bothered me. I could walk for miles. When I first wore the sandals, the straps rubbed a little on the outer part of my big and little toe. Once broken in and adjusted, these are the best!
