I got these for my husband who has small feet and the size 7 in men's was just a tad too big. He was frustrated with the straps, but I convinced him to not give up, that it took time to figure it...once he got the straps in the right place, he has found them to be very comfortable. These are going to be great to hike in. I've owned my pair for 6 years now and still love them. They dry quickly!
Brands I'd also recommend: keen, dansko, clarks, frye

These did not work for my 6 year old son. He found them comfortable, the straps rubbed in. certain areas just when trying them on. I didn't find they were adjustable enough. The strap that went over the toes then the arch adjusted but not the other strap that went over the arch (it was way too baggy and looked funny) or back of heal. My son has a regular or slim foot width.
