Chaco sandals have fantastic arch support, and these are no exception. These sandals have the openness of a flip but have the additional two straps which prevent the "sloppiness" of a flip. I realize that some reviewers state that the thong is too far back, but the positioning works fine for me and my long toes. I normally wear a wide Birk or a 4E width New Balance but the regular width Hipthong is just fine. I normally wear either a 43 Birk (10 - 10 1/2) or an 11 New Balance. An 11 Hipthong fit me perfectly. I think these shoes are great. Highly recommend.

I purchased a pair for my wife and myself. We both love the style, feel and secure feeling with our Chacos. The fit was perfect. My wife has high arches and appreciates the support. The negative heel architecture is nothing new to us and very comfortable.

Can't believe they only make one of the two cross straps adjustable! Okay, so first, it's a shame that Chaco does not make half-sizes in sandals, but since I normally take a 10.5 and find size 10 reefs to be fine, I thought I'd probably be okay with a size 10 Hipthong. And as far as the foot bed was concerned, I might have been okay, but the straps proved I needed that extra half-size. So here's the thing, those second set of straps means that you can't slide your foot into these Hipthongs the way you can with normal flip flops. You have to bend over and lift the straps up while you put the sandals own, which eliminates a lot of the easy-on, easy-off convenience of flip flops. Really, if I wanted to go through all that trouble, I'd have bought the sandals instead! The second thing - and the deal breaker, in my humble opinion - is that only one of the two half-straps is adjustable. At first I thought it was because the straps where underlaced, so that you could slide them into adjustment the way that regular Chaco sandals are, so I pulled on the strap until I feared breaking it, and got no movement. So that left me with the straps being both too-small and non-adjustable. I have a high instep so this was more than a slight inconvenience. Once I finally got the sandals on, I thought I'd walk around my home's carpeting for a minute or two to see if getting the size 11s would be worthwhile. My verdict: nope. The soles on these flip flops are admirably robust, but way too stiff, in my humble opinion. There's no siping on the soles near where the toe should hinge, so the sandal feels really stiff on. Plus, there's really no felt cushioning or shock absorption from the stiff rubber outsole. I'm used to Reef Fannings with their air pocket shock absorption and felt that these might be a step down in comfort, even if a step up in durability. The high arch support was a plus and I mean circle back and get the Chaco Sandals, but I'll give the hipthongs a pass. Neat idea with the cross straps badly executed and with an overly stiff outsole unsuited to flip flops, in my opinion.

I have always disliked flip-flops. It had always seemed like too much effort and care for keeping shoes on your feet. Your shoes should not fly off your foot while walking down the stairs or on a beach. This is why I was intrigued Chacos Two Eco Tread Flip. I already knew that Chacos make a great sandal. I have had the same pair for six years. I just did not think I would like the feeling of the strap between my toes. For this reason I put off this purchase. I ordered them last week and when they were unveiled and placed on my feet, I felt like Cinderella. They are comfortable, stylish, and more casual than my other Chacos. The cross straps are spongy and feel good against your feet. They are also made out of something so they give you a warm fuzzy feeling too. I highly recommend these shoes. If you do n'o like them, then you can go work in the kitchen with your evil stepsisters and stepmother.

These are the most comfortable flop I have ever worn. Great arch support and you can wear them all day in the rain or blazing heat. I would know about those, I live in Savannah, GA. It has a secure fit and I feel that I could run a 5k in these if I had too. I have had a ton of flip flops and these smoke Reefs, Sanuks, Teva, & Olukai.

After walking around in a pair for a few minutes I finally got hip to the wave of Chaco adoration and now I gots happy feets. My first of impression of Chacos was one of confusion -- Why so many straps? Who needs so many straps? -- and sexist stereotyping -- Those look like chick shoes! -- but a relentless Chief Spousal Unit prevailed and I tried a pair. The foot bed feels designed for human feet, the parts quality is built to last, and the adjustment straps provide solid arch support -- an unusual luxury for a Flip Flop -- and melds the shoe to my foot. What's not to appreciate?

I wear them a lot when I am home. Easy to slip on to walk the dog or go to store. With some arch support I can wear them and they don't hurt my feet like flip flops do.

I bought these sandals before a trip to Hawaii to use for walking around, hiking, walking in water and snorkeled in them as well. They performed great in all regards although can't just step into them like a regular flip flop but they also won't come off like a regular flip flop either when you need them to stay on--great multi use all day shoe.

Love these sandals, they fit great and look good with either jeans or shorts. Chaco makes a great product and Zappos is the place to shop. Very pleased with the product and with my shopping experience.
