A friend recommended that I buy Chacos brand sandals for the arch support. I have been very satisfied with these sandals. I bought them just before I took a trip to Taipei & Bangkok, and was able to comfortably walk around for entire days in them.

When I first put them on, I thought that the flips were too narrow. I submitted a question on Chaco's web site and they responded (very quickly) that the flips would break-in. Chaco was right; the flips now feel very comfortable. Don't expect the flips to be a flip-flop version of their Z sandals. They are narrower on purpose, have a different feel than the sandals, but seem equally well made and comfortable (once they break-in and your feet adjust).

I’ve been wearing these flips for about 4-5 years now, and imo, they’re the best, most sturdy and comfortable flips on the market. They last ages beyond other flip-flops and they have great arch support. My one complaint is that it seems recently they have changed their sizing – I’ve been a 14 in these since I started wearing them. I recently ordered a pair - sz 14 - and they were WAY too small. Thankfully Zappos has a relatively painless return policy, and they were switched out quickly. I just hope Chaco doesn’t do this again or I’ll be out of luck as I’m in their biggest size.

Very comfortable! This is actually my second pair (have a pair in black from last year). They do not wear down on the bottom & have great arch support for my high arches! Very versatile too! Can wear with just about anything. Great buy!!

I have plantar fasciitis and was looking for a sandal with good arch support. I read the other reviews for this shoe and some people had the same problem and swore by this sandal for painful feet. I have to say that I agree. I will never wear any other brand again now that I have found these.

Great basic flip-flop (zorie)! I lived in the last pair for over four years. The straps are tight out of the box but break into a nice fit as you wear. I wish I was given the option to buy with the Vibram sole instead of the EcoTread. My feeling is this sole won't hold up near as long. Jon

I own 6 pairs of these which I've purchased over 3-4 years. They are the only flip that stays on, provides great arch support and doesn't wear out quickly. The vibram sole is key - and true to its reputation - it lasts and lasts. Look at your hiking boots - chances are they’ve got a vibram sole. I regularly put these in my front load washer (no spin) and they come out looking brand new. They don't stretch or fade. My least favorite are the leather ones. Although extremely comfortable, the footbed is very smooth so my foot slides around a lot. The regular flip has a slightly textured foot bed which helps keep the foot in place.

These are the second pair of Chaco Flips that I’ve owned. The first pair are about three years old and are still going strong, but I wanted to get a new pair for the summer season. These flipflops are just comfortable. Great arch support and fit snugly to your foot.

Good flip - This is my 2nd flip. 1st was the leather one which is the best flip I have ever owned and wear them often. That was kinda loose and leather was both smooth & slippery, yet I love them. This one has a rubber bed that is very comfortable, and the straps are much tighter, so the flip really stays put on your foot. I have plantar fasciitis so these have great arch supports for any of you who wear orthotic supports in your shoes.

Solid Flop - Great Flip. Very good footbed and the sole is very rigid, which is great. A lot of Flips are made of softer rubber now and I like the solid feel. Some might think that they are too heavy and rigid I suppose. They are not light like the old flip we all know. The only issue is that the straps come back far on the inside and I could see a little need for breaking in or you might bet rub at the back of your arch if no rough spot is built up.

Looks better than it wears! I love Chaco sandals! I purchased these flip flops for my son-in-law's birthday gift from me. He is not pleased with the wear of the shoe. With his high arch he has found there is not enough room between the top of the shoe and the footbed. They continue to rub blisters on his feet. I had noticed he was not wearing them and finally asked how he liked them. He didn't want to tell me at first but I finally got it out of him about them hurting his feet. He said he keeps hoping they will stretch but so far, not.

The best sandal for your feet!!! My podiatrist recommended Chacos to me and they are the miracle I've been waiting for for my feet. Ahhhh...so comfortable. It's winter weather here and I'm still wearing them! I'm buying them for everyone in my family this Christmas. Try them...you'll love them.

Five star shoes - I've only had these shoes for a few weeks, but so far they are great. They are comfortable so my feet are happy. I've had many pairs of flip flops in the past that were cheaply made and didn't last but a few months. I think this pair will give me my money's worth. I also want to say the customer service of Zappos is A+. Thanks!

Adequately rugged do-it-all sandal - Wearing sandals year 'round and owning several pairs at a time for different uses, I picked these up as replacements for a pair of Esca beach sandals which lasted me a decade & a half. I needed something close fitting and supportive like an athletic shoe, yet water friendly and grippy on all surfaces wet or dry, wide open for max ventilation, (potentially) five year plus durability, and still be comfortable and good looking. I've only had the Chacos (Bamboo colour scheme) a few days now, but think I've found most, if not all, those qualities in my new EcoTreads - jury's still out on durability (ask me in 5~10 years). As I did, order your athletic shoe size (which will give you the right size footbed (no excess overhang to catch on everything or feel in the way during spirited driving) and expect 'em to feel abnormally tight through the strap for about two days (after that they should be fine). One oddity worth mentioning is that even though they have excellent arch support (sandal or otherwise), the arch support is biased to the inside of the instep running back to the heel area. It's not enough to roll the ankle or change your step/walk in any way, but it does create some discomfort when donning these guys following a dozen mile trail run. Remember that I am critiquing pretty harshly and comparing them to an absolutely awesome pair of sandals they'll have to replace. For the price and what they're capable of, I would highly recommend them.

Great flip flop - My boyfriend and I both bought these Chacos a few weeks ago. These are my second pair of flip flops from Chaco. My boyfriend was always impressed with how durable my old pair were (over 3 years!) so he decided to get himself a pair. He thinks they are perfectly comfortable. I thought I was going to need more break-in time since my old pair did, but these were comfortable from the start. They still have the same great arch support, and are very cute. I will continue to buy these for the environmentally friendly recycled tread, as well as for their durability and style.

As a longtime wearer of orthotics, flip flops haven't been an option. Even going barefoot was not a comfortable option except on the beach. So, when I discovered the Chaco Flip, with its excellent support and fit, I was amazed! I now own two pair and wear them all day in comfort. You can even throw them in the washing machine and they are so well constructed it is like pulling a new pair from the wash! Thank you Chaco for a great product and thank you Zappos for being the greatest shoe store on earth!

Great for the beach or poolside! Bought these for my husband to replace his conventional poolside/beach flip flops. Theses are much more sturdier and durable. He wears these whenever he is going to get his feet wet, like washing the car, etc. He wears a 9.5 for running shoes but I ordered the 10s, which fit just fine.

I just moved to New York City and needed a flip flop with more support and cushion for all the walking I do. After one day, I am very happy. It has support and cushion and I have only one minor hot spot. The only negative is the ugly Chaco label on the side. I took a sharpie to it after I decided to keep them. Otherwise, I'm stoked on them. SIZE - was a little small but not by much.
