The company is run by CEO Gail Cayetano, marketing entrepreneur of both Starfish Creative Events, Inc and Shop Talk Los Angeles. She was named Best Young Entrepreneur by the Stevie Awards as well as "20 in their 20's" by the Los Angeles Business Journal. The jewelry is designed and production managed by COO Karen Cayetano Leano and CCO Christine Cayetano Brigino.
Karen has worked at major fashion houses Tommy Hilfiger and Dolce & Gabbana, as well as independent fashion jewelry label, Designs by K Cayetano. Her jewelry designs were featured in various publications including highly acclaimed "Twin Cities Luxury." Christine's fashion background includes sales for United Colors of Bennetton, European companies - La Senza and Zara, and most recently as creative director for her independent fashion label, Elegant Uniforms by Christine.
Cayetano Legacy Collection actively supports Filipino programs that train its citizens to source and manufacturer these products, enabling both the creation of jobs as well as economic growth.

I bought the Beverly necklace as well as the Maximina necklace, and I absolutely love both. I've never seen any other kind of statement necklaces quite like these - people always stop me on the street and ask where I got it. I've looked at Anthropologie, J Crew, Banana Republic, etc for the perfect compliment to my work attire, and it wasn't until I stumbled across this brand that I felt satisfied with my choices. Though they look heavy, the way that they're structured (one with a stiff cord, and one with a light ribbon) actually take off a lot of the weight. They're a lot lighter than they seem. Also, I looked up the brand and it seems that they're doing really great work to help the third world nations! Very impressive.

I love the big,chunky look of this necklace, but the rope is much too stiff for the necklace to lay flat. I found it uncomfortable and hard to work with except with collarless garments. Also, one of the stones on the necklace I received was broken on one edge, exposing rough edges. It might have worked if some of the other stones had looked similarly rustic but it looked like a mistake since all of the other stones had smoothly polished edges.
