Poor grips when wet. Do not use these boots anywhere it is somewhat wet. They become VERY slippery. Look for a CAT boot with antislip soles and you will be much happier...I emailed CAT about this problem and they suggested the same thing.

a quality boot. This is a quality, no-nonsense boot. It stands up very well for those who have to be on their feet all day in rough terrain. This boot has weight & I like that. My foot stays where I put it. Light weight boots are not tough enough when working out side all the time.

A really great shoe from a man who has trouble with shoes... I have Cerebral Palsy and, as a consequence, my right foot turns in a lot and puts a good deal of strain on my shoes. -A little like the bad guy in the movie 'The Usual Suspects.' I bought these shoes on Zappos even though I didn't know for sure how they would work. I read one of the reviews and found it helpful (and true). Now to my review: The sole (and the whole shoe) is strong. The rubber sole keeps the shoe from slipping. It's comfortable and, considering that it's a work boot, pretty nice looking, too. Maybe not just the ticket for your tuxedo, but perfectly fine looking.

Cat should stick to making heavy equipment - I never will buy a Cat boot again. They were a big letdown in comfort. On the inside there's a seam on the ankle that causes great discomfort.

Incredible boot - I\'ve owned my pair (plain toe, honey color) for almost four years now. Took just a few days to break in, and they\'re really, really comfortable, stylish, and tough! I\'m now a college kid, turning eighteen this year, and I can say that Caterpillar is really good at resisting the abuse a teenage boy can inflict on it. Even though it\'s not labeled as waterproof, numerous times has it encountered heavy rains, and nothing\'s happened to it except for a change in color for about an hour or so. And, like I said, it\'s really tough too. I once climbed Mt. Pinatubo in these and of all of us, only I had my shoes still intact in the end. In addition to that, it\'s really stylish, too. Works well with blue, khaki, or black jeans, and I dance in these! I\'m sure these will last still much longer. Thank you so much Caterpillar.

Being a student in school I go through shoes very fast. But I am pleased to say these boots have held up and stayed perfectly intact. They are comfortable, reliable, and tough as steel. The tongue can give you some problems at times, but other than that I have no problems with them! Very good boot. Very good buy.

If these are wide, I would hate to see the normal width. Very difficult to break in. The black leather around the top is so thick it actually bruised the inside of my ankle for the first couple days of wearing them. It has been a month and they are much better, but I still feel like they are a bit rigid.

I bought these working shoes for my boyfriend's birthday for his meteorite hunting. He loves them and shows them to everybody! These shoes are true to size. He usually wears 10 or 10.5, so I bought 10.5 for this pair, and he can wear thicker socks. They are very cool boots and tough but very comfortable!
