I like the color. Although it is called tan it is a rosy tan and quite attractive. The availability of W in size 5.5 was great and actually fit nicely with wider toe box than the other M-width shoes I ordered and yet a heel counter that fit snugly and supportively. Despite the wide toe, the cutout rubbed my big toe. Maybe a 1/2 size up or down would fix that, however, the insole lining changes from suede to the smooth leather just under the ball of the foot. The resultant bump bugs me. I remember Capezio ballet shoes doing that too.

Dancing Shoes - These shoes put a bounce in you step. They are beautifully made and very true to size.

Still looking - This is the best shoe I've found so far for me, but if only there was better cushion in the ball of foot it would be even better.

Dance Shoes - This is the second pair of shoes that I have bought that I will use for dance lessons. They fit great...perfect fit for my normal size. I have also purchased two pairs of fancier dance shoes and they are great too. I love dealing with Zappos.com because they ship free and let you return free. (I have done that with my husband's shoe the first time). I always recommend them to others who are looking for dance shoes.

Not bad for a ballroom shoe - I bought these originally as wedding shoes and wore them dancing to break them in. I think they will be fine for dancing when my fiancé and I go dancing but I can't imagine wearing them for all 8 hours or more for my wedding... I agree with everyone who said they got the wide width, I couldn't imagine how uncomfortable they would have been had I gotten the regular width. Length felt about right though. I am actually going to wear Capezio dance sneakers in white instead...like I said, we are dancers, my feet need to be ready to take it on.

Salvatore Capezio was born in 1871 in Muro Lucano, Italy. Uninterested in following in his father’s footsteps as a construction engineer, he became an artist of his own right, a cobbler. In 1887, at the age of 17, he opened his shop on Broadway and 39th Street, diagonally across from the old Metropolitan Opera House in New York City. Soon, the shop became a meeting place for dancers who would stop by to discuss their needs and to get a pair of his shoes. As Capezio’s popularity grew, dancers from around the world made it a point to visit him and purchase his shoes.

The innovation of the products that Salvatore Capezio created and the camaraderie he shared with the dancers molded the direction that his company would follow. In this image, the Capezio brand was established to promote and recognize ongoing achievements and participation in dance.

Yowza! This was narrow even in wide! I typically wear normal width shoes that are roomier in the toe box as the front of my foot is wide, but my heels are small and narrow. If I can't fit normal size in my size (7.5) I'll go up .5-1 size in order to give my toes a bit more room. Based on other reviews I ordered this shoe in my size, but wide. Unlike the other Capezio wide which fit perfectly, I could barely get my foot in the shoe. For wide, this shoe is pretty darn narrow, and I don't even have that wide a foot. I recommend that if you have even slightly wide feet to not order this shoe. If you have normal width shoes, you will probably want to order wide.

Nice dance shoe - I usually wear a 7.5 regular and I ordered the 7.5 wide, after reading the reviews. The wide is a better fit. These are pretty comfy shoes, the heel is just right for dancing and the strap is comfy (though a bit long). The color is actually very nice, somewhere between rose and neutral, and I like that they are not satin. Only issue is that after dancing in them for a while, the front part feels pretty thin and the sole of the foot hurts. This can probably be fixed with some inserts. Otherwise, good fit. Comes with a handy bag for shoes. Zappos is great, shipping was superfast!

Gave me blisters, but otherwise like them - As far as support and the shape of the shoe, they are comfortable, but after an hour and a half of dancing, I had to put my sneakers back on, because I had angry blisters along the inside edge of the shoe on both sides (near the heel) and on the inside edge of one foot near the toe. Haven't tried wearing them again yet. Maybe I'll walk around the house in them with socks on to try to break them in. I usually wear an 8, but had to get 8.5, despite having narrow feet. They just run a little small generally. Great service from Zappos, though.

Great - These are great dance shoes. They were my first dance shoes, and they have done very well for me. I have been dancing 6 days a week, for 5 months, and I am only now replacing them due to wear. I highly recommend. My feet tend to be wider than medium, but not a wide. I ordered these in a wide and they felt great. Medium felt way too narrow.

Like walking on air - I love my shoes they are like walking on air. From the time I put them on. Excellent all over I danced all night. Thank you Zappos. This is not an outside shoe. It is for dancing only.

Uncomfortable - I ended up sending these shoes back... the cutout part felt like it was going to cut my big toe off, and there was no arch support.

Great Shoes! I ordered this pair of shoes in silver and plan to wear them on my wedding day. They are so comfortable - it's like a pair of running shoes with a heel. Thank you!

Nice, but didn't like strap. I bought these for dance lessons and found them to be fairly comfortable for this type of shoe. I needed a half size larger. I decided to return them due to the instep strap pinching my inner ankle. It wasn't that bad and might have gone away after reasonable break-in time. However, I decided to go with the Freed 6617 L, which I felt was more comfy. Zappos has easy returns so I wasn't hesitant to try them though.

Great looking shoe - I bought these shoes for street wear. They have a soft, thin sole so I'll probably have to put something on the sole to make them more durable since they are a true dance shoe.

Great dancing shoe! This is a great shoe for dancing. It fits very snug, and gives good support. It's actually more comfortable then a lot of my flat shoes. My only minor complaint is it took about 3 times to wear it to break in the area around my toes. At first it pinched a little, but now feels fine. If you're in between sizes I'd definitely order the larger size. P.S. Zappos is great!

Amazing dancing shoes!!! I’ve got these shoes in Silver and I feel like a princess at the ball! Leather is very soft; sock lining is all suede... very nice! I was able to dance in these shoes the next day after I got them without breaking them in. The only one thing I had to do is cut the straps (they are way too long.) My dance teacher was very pleased with my choice... he said it’s the style he'd recommend. Great look and comfort.

This is my third pair of this style of Capezios. I have found some to fit my regular shoe size and others I needed to go up a size. This last purchase I had to go up a size and add a left to my left shoe. I have a pair in silver that fit perfectly in my regular shoe size. Customer service is outstanding. I wish Capezio would add a lighter tan or a gold in this style

Knock-out sandals- Love the shoe. Ordered to go with a green dress, they’re perfect. My feet are very narrow however and I had to have a cobbler make the straps smaller, worked and am very happy with result. Even with the $20 cobbler fee, the price was very reasonable for the product. They are adorable and comfortable. What more can a girl ask for?

Linda from Boston, MA - I recently purchased these shoes for ballroom dancing and I absolutely love them. I found the fit to be true and I am amazed at the comfort. The padding is really a plus that you would not find in a typical heel. Best of all, they look fabulous when I'm on the dance floor.

Beautiful shoe - but not for long - Excellent shoes, both look and comfort, but with one big problem: the silver colour scruffs severely. I have worn my pair twice, and they are full of scrathces that I suspect will be nearly impossible to remove. But, as I said: they look beautiful on the foot and are more comfortable than any high heeled shoe I have ever worn. They feel stable and have good padding. I wore these for a school dance, and could dance in them for a long time without any problems. Buy the wide size if you don't have very narrow feet.
