Nice Fit - I got 1.5 sizes larger and the wide size and they fit great. Good, comfortable shoe.

Capezio Jazz Shoe - I have been buying these jazz shoes for 14 years & they are the most comfortable, easily donned during a dance class, have a slight rubber heel, elastic around the arch area stretches just enough to slip on but holds the feet in. I have tried many brands including Giordano’s which I had worn for 15 years previously & I like these the best.

Sized very small, very good shoe - I got a 10.5, my normal size is 9B I can get my orthotics in and wear these around the house, great, slip off and on, haven't been dancing yet in them.

Comfy jazz shoe for wide width foot. I have trouble fitting shoes because of a wide foot and high arch. This shoe fits very comfortably. The true to size shoe was too small. One size larger was just a bit too large but kept it because it was very comfortable and the insert keeps it firmly in place.

Seemed to be a little more rounded in the toe than the last pair I had. Ordered 1 1/2 sizes larger than my normal street shoe. I know that they will stretch and feel if I had gone any larger, they will eventually be too big. The heel height is different than past jazz boots, but I'll get used to them. I can generally get about 6-9 months wear out of a pair of jazz boots since I do a lot of dancing on carpet.

Salvatore Capezio was born in 1871 in Muro Lucano, Italy. Uninterested in following in his father’s footsteps as a construction engineer, he became an artist of his own right, a cobbler. In 1887, at the age of 17, he opened his shop on Broadway and 39th Street, diagonally across from the old Metropolitan Opera House in New York City. Soon, the shop became a meeting place for dancers who would stop by to discuss their needs and to get a pair of his shoes. As Capezio’s popularity grew, dancers from around the world made it a point to visit him and purchase his shoes.

The innovation of the products that Salvatore Capezio created and the camaraderie he shared with the dancers molded the direction that his company would follow. In this image, the Capezio brand was established to promote and recognize ongoing achievements and participation in dance.

Capezio products remain in the forefront in quality and in technological advances with innovations like the split-sole, the stretch-insert, the Dansneaker® and the Tapsneaker. Capezio believes that their success is dependent upon the individual commitment of each customer to continually set new standards of creativity and performance, while preserving a reputation for dependability and distinction. Capezio pledges their support and dedication to the advancement of dance, theater and recreation in communities worldwide.

Jazz Shoes - The shoes run very small! I ordered a full two sizes bigger.

Thanks to other reviews, I knew to give careful thought to size choice. On one hand, it seemed clear to go 2 sizes up; on the other, it seemed some advised that the leather will stretch. I chose to go only 1 full size up. I wish I had chosen to go up 2 sizes instead! I dare say, you MUST pick a size that's 2 full sizes larger than your regular size. While it may be true that the leather will stretch in time, it's such a close fitting shoe (snug) that the leather will likely stretch to the exact shape of my foot, and lose some of its own great shape. This shoe is beautiful and interesting and fun - but beware: it has no arch support. If you are flat-footed, or, if you have you weak arches, skip this shoe! (Note also that this is available as a boot as well. If I had discovered the boot version sooner, I might have ordered that instead.)

They feel as great as they look. I too had to order two sizes bigger than I normally wear and to avoid buying and returning, I recommend people trust these comments that they won't fit if you order your normal size. Due to the unstructured nature of the soft leather, if you have imperfect feet with a bunion or callus, these will feel wonderful. These shoes feel as buttery as they look. I wear them with slacks and never fail to get a compliment from someone. ON a cautionary note, there is no heel to speak of so if you need slightly elevated heels, you will need to purchase inexpensive heel inserts. What's really cool is the rubber sole is in two pieces with plain leather in between. This somehow makes them even more comfortable. I haven't shopped for shoes anywhere but at Zappos.com for two years. I love Zappos because of the low prices, fast mailing and easy returns at no charge. Shoes are my drug of choice and Zappos is my supplier.

A bit smaller - We order a number 13 and it didn't fit my husband. He is usually a size 12, so we ended up ordering a size 14 and it still felt tight in the front. After you break them in, excellent shoes to dance with.

Need to make large 1/2 sizes - I normally wear a 12, but 12 was too small. No 12.5 was available, so I ordered 13, which is too big. However, I like the shoe enough to keep it.

Dancing Feet - While I had to order this shoe in 2 sizes bigger than I normally wear, when I finally got the right size, it was wonderful! My feet finally feel supported while dancing.

Comfy and very soft - I had to return the first pair and order a full size larger. I tried these for dancing (tango) but decided I needed shoes with higher heels and smooth leather sole even though one of the reviews said these were good for tango. Maybe these work better if you're taller or for real jazz dancing and workouts. They're comfortable with socks (I wouldn't wear them barefoot). They're odd looking, though!

Dance/Movement Shoe- The shoes were purchased for my 10-year old. She wears a 4 1/2 street shoe and I ordered 6 1/2 in this boot. They fit just right- no room for growth in these- but they met our immediate need so we kept them.

The most comfortable ankle boot that I have owned- I ordered three different sizes because I did not know what would feel more comfortable after I had surgery on my right foot, but eventually ordered a size 8.5 which was exactly the size I should have ordered in the first place. They are a fantastic ankle boot; they fit well, look good and feel wonderful. I would definitely order this product again.

4th pair Jazz Ankle Boots - I own three (different colors) and gave a pair to my Sister also. I always have very sore feet and wearing these, especially with socks is like wearing fine leather gloves on your feet. I wear them for workouts, dancing, jeans, dresses -- at work, home and outside. They are very tough, yet soft. They look very cute on your feet and make your feet look smaller, as well. I think we all like that! I order true size. A 7 is a 7. They will stretch some so they should fit rather snug when new. Thanks, Zappos for always providing fantastic, caring, and ultra fast service. My Husband gets very newvous when I browse (shop) your site.

New_socks - I bought these for daily wear due to an injury. I am so happy with the results! They are comfortable and have virtually brought the constant swelling that I have experienced daily for over a year to a stop! I only wish they were available in more colors!

Capeizo Jazz Ankle Boot! I had previously ordered these boots in a normal size for my daughter--they didn't fit. After a very easy free return, I ordered the boots in a wide width - they are perfect. This has been the easiest online buying experience that I have ever had. The boots are of high quality, and my daughter loves them! Recommended item as well as overall experience!

I love these shoes and I was so excited when I found them so cheap! We had to have them for dance comnpetitions and I think they are the best out there because they fit so closely to your foot and after you wear them for a while they mold to the shape of your foot. I ordered a Wide because it was the only on in my size that was the correct color, but it didn't feel very wide at all, in fact it fits pretty much like my other ones do that are normal width.
