I love these things, once I got the right size! I tried 3 sizes smaller than my street size (7), way too small. Returned them and got the ones two sizes smaller and they were pretty close to perfect. I use them to go almost-barefoot now that the ground's gotten a lot colder and we're headed into winter. My toes still like to breathe in the winter, even if they get a bit numb doing so, and these not-quite-shoes are great for protecting my soles when it's cold out.

These were difficult to size. My solution: buy three sizes and send two back. My foot is an 8.5, and I've read subtract 2-3 sizes. I even read on another website to subtract 4 sizes! What to do? I ordered a 4, 5, and a 6. I ended up with the 6. On the actual sandal, I've used them with great success for modern dance and belly dancing. My first couple of classes without them, the balls of my feet got very hot and felt like they would blister or tear. Not anymore. Very good protection while maintaining a connection with the floor.

Sizing - The Sandasol is a very nice shoe for dance. I am enjoying them. They feel naturally part of my feet and when I do not use them, the dance is still fluid. I would have chosen a smaller size, however, I feel that although I am a 9 or 9 1/2 in street wear( and I chose a 9), I could have fit into an 8 snuggly and allowed for future stretch. It already has some give with the elastic as it is.

Good dance shoe - I purchased this shoe 2 sizes smaller than my street shoe size. It seems to be a little large. I think one size lower would have been perfect. But even though it's not a perfect fit, it's still nice to dance in. It definitely saves my feet from a lot of twisting!

Not for a wider foot - I bought these for belly dance. I will say, I have wide size 9.5 to 10 sized feet (1 foot is smaller by a 1/2 size). I ordered 2 sizes down, and yes, they fit...almost. They are tight across the base of the toes on my right foot, but it'll stretch there and is bearable. The left foot that is larger and wider was the problem. I cut into the left over the foot strap and sewed an elastic piece into it to give it more room. This worked well for me, though; I think I will not buy these again.

Fun for belly dancing - I would order these in only 1 size smaller than normal. I wore these around the house a few times to try to stretch them out. I ordered only 2 sizes smaller than my regular size but they are still very tight. I will wet them and see if they will stretch. I do like the looks of them tho.

Cute and nice for belly dancers - My second pair. I can do the Choo Choo in these without hurting my tootsies. Buy and shimmy to your feet's content. I got the size 4 and wear a street 6 -- beware of sizing and read instructions.

Does the trick - I ordered a size 8 (I wear a ladies 10 1/2) and it was snug but perfect. Note they do not stretch around the ball of the foot, only "lengthwise," from front to back. Saves the balls of my feet during belly dance class. I think they are a great help and the natural color ones are hardly noticeable. Be sure you do not mind a strip of leather between your toes, though. In that case, I would try a ballet flat.

A little uncomfortable :( I followed the guideline in regard for size for this type of shoe. They fit perfect, but the right size was tighter than the left size. After wearing them for a few minutes my right foot cannot handle the pain. I am going to try to wet the sandal, so maybe the leather would stretch a little. Otherwise these shoes would be perfect for dancing.

Snug and pretty - The sandals I ordered were 2 sizes below my street shoe. They are snug and hug my feet protecting them especially on turns. At first they felt narrow, but now they feel great. The sandals make my feet look pretty.

Nice for being barefoot - If the ball of your foot is too delicate, or, like me, there is a bone that is sore every time I go barefoot. And I like it so this is the solution. Looks just as you are wearing a sandal. So don't get this just to dance. Enjoy!

Fabulous bang for my buck - This is the third pair of shoes I've bought from Zappos, and will certainly not be the last. These are just perfect- I ordered 2.5 sizes down and they fit my feet just snugly enough. Came very promptly, as always.

Pretty good shoe - I wear a size 7.5 shoe, and I ordered a 5 in this dance shoe at first as per customer recommendations. Those were too big, so I ordered a 4 and they fit much better. The light suntan does not quite blend in with my skin as the review says, but that's not a big deal.

I got these shoes, but the space for my toes is too small so I have to trim the thong strap and they slip too much to be useful for kicks. I ordered 2 sizes smaller than my true size.

Great for belly dancing - I use these for belly dancing aerobics. It took three uses for them to be broken in and for me to get accustomed to them. They are comfortable, protect the balls of my feet while dancing and help my feet grip the floor during stretches. I am pleased with my selection.

Awesome Shoes!!! These make learning belly dance so much easier. With the half-sole it's easier to pivot on the ball of your foot and the bare heel provides traction. The strap that goes between the toes is a little uncomfortable at first but then it forms to your foot. If you get them go two sizes down from your normal shoe size.

Just the ticket - I bellydance and these are perfect for protecting the balls of my feet but are subtle enough not to stand out from my costume. Very comfortable, but order two sizes down from your street shoe size not four.

Capezio Half-Sole Sandasol - Had to stretch it out a bit to fit comfortably. Works good for belly dancing!

The size guide suggests that you buy 4 sizes smaller than your street shoe size. I did that and the sandal was too small. I think 3 sizes smaller will fit better.
