These are great basic barre exercise shoes. I wear them throughout the summer, when the studio is too hot for leather shoes to be comfortable. The canvas is breathable and soft. Not recommended for floor exercises and turns, as the inner lining tends to gather and bunch under my toes as I move across the floor.

Extremely disappointed! These are probably the worst shoes I've tried to dance in thus far! First of all they are extremely uncomfortable, I can feel the suede padding through the shoe the entire time I'm dancing, I've only danced in them 3 times and the canvas is already fraying! Even after distressing the bottom, they are very slippery and I've had a very hard time controlling spins. What a waste of money! It's an attractive shoe, but I'll take comfort, support and quality over that!

These are true to size, I ordered an 8.5 - my usual shoe size and they fit nicely. The elastics are attached and I was off and dancing in no time! The cut fits my foot nice too - no bagging.

Salvatore Capezio was born in 1871 in Muro Lucano, Italy. Uninterested in following in his father’s footsteps as a construction engineer, he became an artist of his own right, a cobbler. Sizing is a bit tricky -
I had a little trouble getting the right size for this slipper; I started with an 11M (I normally wear between a 10 and 11 medium to wide, depending on the cut of the shoe), and ended up having to go to a 12W to avoid the top of the slipper cutting into my instep and the feeling that my toe was about to poke a hole in the end. But I couldn't be happier, especially with the service from Zappos: when I called at 11:30pm ET to arrange an exchange, my call was answered immediately, and then the replacement pair was processed immediately so that they arrived less than 48 hours after the phone call.

Great Shoe for Ballet, Yoga, & Pilates!
These shoes are very comfortable. They are a bit wide on me, but I have an extremely narrow foot. The elastics keep it in place so there is no rubbing.

These shoes were true to size, and fit my high arches as well as any leather ones I have had. It was also time-saving to have the elastics sewn on one side.

After ordering a million pairs of ballet shoes, I finally found the right style and fit. I wear an 11 M or W, and I thought the 11s in these were a bit too long, so I went with the 10.5. Didn't feel much difference between the M and W. I wear these just around the house and for exercising. I also bought a pair in white for my wedding. They aren't really made to go outside, but if you feel the need to do so, try putting a cushioned insert in the shoe (I use Dr. Scholl's cushioned arch support). Zappos customer service and FREE!! Overnight shipping policies are phenomenal as usual.

Oh the Comfort!
These shoes are wonderful. The moment I put them on, they hugged my feet and felt closer to a sturdy sock than a shoe. This is the first canvas ballet shoe I've tried, having only ever used leather ones. The cut flatters the foot, and the extra padding at the ball and heel soles contribute to the comfiness. The quality is also good. The ankle straps come attached at the sides, but not to each other so I had to sew them together. I didn't mind because I was able to make the strap continue over the top of the foot and around the ankles as well (like a figure 8). I'm using these as house slippers and yoga shoes so got them in my normal shoe size, which works perfectly for my purposes.

This ballet shoe is a great fit with a great look; it gives the foot a nice line when in point. I did have a slight problem with the heel slipping so when you sew the foot straps and tie make sure they are tight.

Comfortable, stylish and excellent quality shoe. I ordered it in 8.5 and 9 in different colors to try the fit (normally wear 8.5 shoes) and both felt very similar.

I bought these for my daughter and she loves them. She said they are so comfortable and they fit perfectly. When I got them I was a little unsure because the straps are not together but after I sewed them up they look great. I definitely recommend this shoe!

Capezio's Ballet shoe-
I love this shoe. I bought it for Pilates and yoga and it is perfect. Gives just enough support opposed to bare feet. It is very comfortable.
I bought it a 1/2 size larger and it fits great, also can be adjusted.
