Great shoes! Easy to walk in. I had to get them for my show choir. The leather is great and stretches easily. Down side, they run rather narrow. I got an 11 wide, and I have pretty wide feet so they were a little small when I first got them. After dancing in them for about two weeks, they were a perfect fit, but still squeeze slightly in the balls of my feet. If you have borderline width in your feet, order wide.

LOVE IT! These shoes are fantastic! They look great on stage and are super comfortable. The shoes quickly molded to my feet and are easy to dance in. I highly recommend them if you are looking for a good musical theatre shoe to dance in.

Fab shoe! I bought these a while back in the tan. Now I wanted to add the black to my theater/dance shoe collection. They look great. I get many compliments on them because they are different than the classic character shoes most people wear. Not good for wearing hours on end though. And they do feel a bit narrow...but with the buttery soft leather, they stretch.

Capezio Chorus Review - Very comfortable. Sexy. Sturdy. Flexible. Wish they came in 3 inch. The tan is a funny color- sort of a grey/beige- wish they were more flesh color. A little pricey but worth it.

Fashion queen on dance floor - These shoes are very chic and pretty like all other reviews mentioned. The only problem I found, just like other people said too, is that they the heels are little too high and the sole and arch support are not so great. Probably need to get a padding insole like others said, too. But they were right also in that these pairs aren't just great for dance, they are very pretty for street wear too. And yes, the leather seems to be tough and stiff at first, but after I wore them for a bit and danced with it, it already starting to soften up. The size is very well, fit just like street shoes.

Salvatore Capezio was born in 1871 in Muro Lucano, Italy. Uninterested in following in his father’s footsteps as a construction engineer, he became an artist of his own right, a cobbler. In 1887, at the age of 17, he opened his shop on Broadway and 39th Street, diagonally across from the old Metropolitan Opera House in New York City. Soon, the shop became a meeting place for dancers who would stop by to discuss their needs and to get a pair of his shoes. As Capezio’s popularity grew, dancers from around the world made it a point to visit him and purchase his shoes.

The innovation of the products that Salvatore Capezio created and the camaraderie he shared with the dancers molded the direction that his company would follow. In this image, the Capezio brand was established to promote and recognize ongoing achievements and participation in dance.

Capezio products remain in the forefront in quality and in technological advances with innovations like the split-sole, the stretch-insert, the Dansneaker® and the Tapsneaker. Order big - I LOVE this shoe. You can walk AND dance in it. It looks good with EVERYTHING. It was much, much less in price at ZAPPOS than at the Capezio store and I am going to the store tomorrow to ask why. Order a 1/2 size larger. Order W if you have a border line width to avoid those dancing bunions from shoes that are too tight at widest part of shoe around toe. This is an unbelievably comfortable shoe!

This shoe stretches! The shoe was tight when I received them, especially the width. After wearing and dancing in them a couple of times, I easily have fit some spongy insoles into them. They "give" quite a bit. The ball of my foot still hurts after a couple of hours of dancing. The heel is high, which looks really nice, but puts stress on the ball of your foot.

Worth it - Take time to break them in. Leather is very stiff at first. Once they are good to go, you will be good to go. I added 'Foot Petals' to give it a little bit of cushion without taking up space. (I wear them for catering, not dance.) If you have been curious, give them a try

I found the black Capezio Chorus shoe comfortable, classic, and ideal for both work and play. The only drawback is that the toes pinch a bit and one of my middle toes has been rubbed a little raw. They felt great for the first three hours though, and others may not have this problem since my toes are longer than average. These shoes are also on the narrow side, which works great for my narrowish feet.

Amazing shoes! Be careful that they are narrower than marked, but after a few days you can break them in.

Very nice - Very pretty. Make my legs look great. There isn't much in the way of padding on the bottom, but some gel insoles solved that issue.

Capezio Chorus - I am not a dancer, but read in a newspaper article that dance shoes are very comfortable for people with wide feet. (I have bunions and have an extremely difficult time finding dress shoes that fit.) I ordered Capezio Chorus (wide)and found that they fit wonderfully. A little more expensive than I would regularly pay, but when you are uncomfortable, a bargain doesn't help. I am certain I will buy more shoes because the fit was so great.

Great Shoe - I have a wide foot and desire comfort along with fashion. I wanted a sturdy character shoe, as I know how flexible and comfortable they become after the initial "break-in" period. I didn't need these for a performance. Rather, I needed them for an everyday shoe. At first, I felt the shoe wasn't wide enough, even though I ordered a wide width. However, these shoes stretch quite a bit with wear. Now I feel these shoes fit very well. People who are not familiar with character shoes often complement me on my stylish shoes. I think they go great with just about everything in my wardrobe. At the end of the day, my feet don't ache. They are the only high-heeled shoes in my closet that don't hurt! Overall, a very good shoe.

Good to the last step - I am using these shoes for a musical production and they are still strong enough for the opening yet with some scuff marks already on them.

Review of shoe. The right shoe seems to fit a little tighter on where the "T" connects to the toe area (on top of the foot) than the left shoe. I used my hands to pull on it to "open" it up a little which helped. The silver color is so much fun - overall I'm very happy with the shoes :)

Classic - Classic, not trendy. They have support and a lovely shaping in the instep, for dancers, but I bought them for regular wear. I had to buy the W width rather than my normal B, but they look good and do not pinch my feet.

Love 'em! The very first time I wore these shoes was for a 2.5 hour opera staging rehearsal and my feet felt great right up until the end. Because my feet are wide and I have a high instep, I normally wear my shoes one half size larger(I order a 7 instead of a 6.5), but for these I ordered a 6.5W and they fit beautifully. I am so pleased I am going to order another pair in another color. And above all, they are so chic!

Dancing shoes - My daughter spends most of her waking hours on stage. She needed a higher heel with a T strap so we ordered these and she is VERY happy with them. Great to have the height of the heels without having to walk or dance on a spike. Expensive but she'll have them for years. Now she's saving to buy them in another color!
