The first CamelBak hydration packs proved to be very popular amongst mountain bikers and motocross riders by allowing them to drink without taking their hands off of the handlebars in technical terrain. Shortly thereafter, the hydration packs began to cross over into other sports venues. Scientific studies have shown that athletes performed better when they wore a CamelBak hydration system because they were taking in more fluids and keeping hydrated. Today, CamelBak features more Hands-Free Hydration® systems for hiking, running, snowboarding and skiing.
While keeping you hydrated is one thing, keeping you comfortable is another. At CamelBak they understand just how important it is to have a lightweight, breathable pack for your all-day backcountry adventures. The D.V.I.S.® and N.V.I.S.® back panels were developed to provide a better fit, multi-directional ventilation, and a stable center of gravity with easy access to water. Combine those features with Camelbak´s leak proof, taste-free, anti-microbial Omega® Hydrotanium® Reservoir and you´ve got a powerful piece of load-bearing, hydration equipment on your side.
CamelBak´s state-of-the-art packs and hydration systems have benefited people from all walks of life including: athletes, outdoorsmen, and soldiers around the world. Although they have grown significantly since their earlier days, CamelBak stands strong in their belief that proper hydration delivers the advantage of top performance among the rest.

his is a great product and at a good price. Zappos provided very fast delivery, lighting fast to be exact.

It's a good day pack. A pain to clean out, but if you dry it every night after you use it, you don't have to clean it often. I use it everywhere, including hiking trips. But if you're backpacking, bring an extra bottle and platypus.
I'd also recommend: Nalgine, Platypus, and MSR.

I have the red version of this CamelBak. I purchased it for medium distance bike rides (12-25 miles round trip). The hydration pack is perfect capacity for that type of trip. It has a zipper pocket that is just big enough to fit my Droid phone, my ID, a debit card, and my house key. It works perfectly for what I purchased it for.

The CamelBak is great - people on rides were telling me that I looked so hot and dehydrated and so I decided to give this a try. It makes a huge difference. As always with Zappos, it arrived in great condition and in almost no time. The only thing I don't like about Zappos is that I have to pay taxes. If not for that, I would buy many more items from them. As regards the CamelBak, I might consider at some time getting the backpack version so that I could carry more items.

I am a marathoner, and I use this camelback to stay hydrated on my long runs (15-30 mi). I like the design, especially of the bladder, which is easy to fill and clean. I also like that the pack is light and minimalistic. It has just enough space for my phone, debit card, and keys in the small back pocket. My only complaint is that I wish there was another strap around the waist to minimize movement of the pack. It moves a little bit early in the run, when it is heavy, but toward the end it hardly moves on your back at all. Overall, it's a great product for people who are looking to ramp up their mileage.
