  • It doesn't take a detective to figure out that if the Burton® Sherlock 163 snowboard is built for the likes of Mike Rencz and Kim Rune Hansen, then it will have all the float, flex and control you'll need to conquer that mountain.
  • Flying V™ offers you the best of both worlds with a premium blend of camber and rocker performance. Rocker is located between and outside your feet, enhancing playfulness and float through pow. Underneath your feet, subtle camber zones focus edge-control for crisp snap, added pop, and power through turns.
  • Infinite Ride™ is created by overbuilding the board, allowing the Burton-exclusive technology to maximize pop and strength. It is then placed in a machine that breaks in the board for you. From first day to last, this board will maintain its flex, pop and performance.
  • Side Effects™ lengthens the surface area at the tip and tail contact points, improving edge-hold and allows the board to plane easier in powder. Enjoy a livelier feel and enhanced grip on groomers along with added float for overhead days.
  • Pro Tip™ design utilizes a tapered tip and tail thickness that reduces swing weight and creates a more playful feel.
  • The Channel(M6) has focused power through a central connection that evenly distributes energy for added rebound and snap, it also lets you easily micro-adjust your stance width and angles. The addition of M6 means we're using a standardized hardware size that improves upon performance and ease-of-use, and allows for compatibility with all Burton bindings as well as bindings from select competitors, making it a choice for any rider.
  • Carbon I-Beam™ is an ultra-light carbon backbone that increases pop and longitudinal snap.
  • Triax™ Fiberglass provides versatile flex and excellent response from light to high impact shreds.
  • Twin-Like Shape provides the freestyle feel of a twin shape with better float and control, no matter if you're riding regular or switch, through variable terrain and conditions.
  • Super Fly II Core™ provides better pop, strength, and a reduced weight with stronger and lighter woods that target specific areas of the core.
  • Frostbite Edges are beneath your bindings and extend out slightly for tremendous edge-hold on hard, icy conditions. While Frostbite Edges are always hungry for hard-pack, they remain ever forgiving in softer conditions.
  • Smooth Ride™ internal dampening technology lets you react quicker, ride faster, and go bigger with more control and less impact on your body. The negative vibrations associated with rough terrain and cruddy snow get absorbed by the board before making it to your body.
  • Directional Flex offers more pop in the tail and a more resilient nose that allows riders to easily maintain control and flow through any terrain and conditions.
  • 10:45™ Sidewalls have strong dual angle geometry which results in bomber impact absorption.
  • Dualzone™ EGD™ has the wood grain positioned along the toe and heel edges, perpendicular to the rest of the wood core, for superior edge hold and added strength.
  • Sintered base is a highly porous board that offers superb durability and superior wax absorption for perfection glide.
  • Waist Width: 255mm.
  • Stance Width: 560mm.
  • Sidecut Radius: 6.56m.
  • Effective Edge: 1175mm.
  • Weight Range: 150-200 lbs.
  • Feel Rating: 5.

Burton Snowboards is a rider driven company solely dedicated to creating the best adult and kids' snowboarding equipment on the planet.

At Burton they stand sideways, sleep on floors in cramped resort hotel rooms. They get up early and go to sleep late. Burton has been mocked. They've been turned away from resorts that won't have snowboarders. Burton is relentless. They dream snowboarding. They make it, break it and fix it. They create it. They destroy it. They wreck themselves day in and day out and yet they stomp that one trick or find that one line that keeps them coming back. They progress.

Burton has fueled the growth of adult and children's snowboarding worldwide through its groundbreaking product lines, its grassroots efforts to get the sport accepted at resorts and its team of top adult, child, and teen snowboarders. Always looking forward, Burton even has a team comprised of children ages seven to fourteen whose purpose is to push the sport and kid's snowboarding apparel to the next level. Burton dominates the adult and kids' snowboard industry worldwide with global headquarters in Burlington, Vermont and international offices in Innbruck, Austria and Tokyo, Japan.

Jake Burton Carpenter has dedicated 30 years of his life to snowboarding. He founded Burton in 1977 and has played a vital role in transforming snowboarding from a backyard hobby to a world-class sport. In the early years, the business was based out of Jake's Vermont barn and he delivered boards out of his station wagon. Jake is Burton's most avid product tester and rides over 100 days per year.
